The old parts of Konya are beautiful. The new parts are interesting. This city feels very traditional and profoundly Turkish. Very little globalisation and not much English spoken here. It is very different from Istanbul or Ankara - it is slower and less frantic than its urban counterparts. Religion obviously plays a big part in this culture, but stick to the rules, show respect, and you are welcome everywhere. The mosques and the monuments are beautuful, but so too are the markets and bazaars. Prices are very reasonable, so good food and bargains are not hard to find.

Konya is a huge city, depending of what you are looking for, you have to chose you area wisely. There is plenty of country side and beautiful scenery, but a long drive from where we were if you are planning to find nightlife or entertainment it might be difficult. The area we were in, we visited some restaurants, food is good, but most of them you cannot consume alcohol. so if you plan to go out after a days work and have a drink you can forget it.

I went to Konya to attend Mevlana's death anniversary and enjoyed it a lot. Significant experience with the food, people, architecture, everything. It was a spiritual trip, so I greatly enjoyed the city.
It's easy to get around, and the bus/tram connection is excellent. You can buy a city card, top it up, and move around.
It had terrific world-best falafel and hummus opposite Shah Shames Tabreez's tomb—a must-visit place.
Great and affordable grill and other food options near Azizyea 🕌 mosque inside old streets of Konya.
I visited Sille, a beautiful historic village only 30 minutes by bus from Konya city center.

Konya gives you a high sense of spiritually most likely because of its connection with Mevlana Rumi and Shams Tabriz. It is not as crowded as Istanbul so it's more enjoyable. The mosque ans the tomb of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykabut, located on a strategic hillock, has a beautiful garden and a very good to relax. Out of all the goid restaurants, Sufi Restaurant offers the best cuisine. We enjoyed Konya''s signature dish, the Firin Kebap and the dessert Hosmerism. They are a must to eat.

I had never been to Konya, so we hired a guide for a 7-hour walking tour. Konya is an ancient city (Roman name was Iconium) as well as a pilgrimage site for many sufis, since both Rumi and his mentor Shems-i Tabrizi have tombs in the city. The Mevlevi dervish sema at the Mevlana Cultural Center is a big draw for people from all over the world. Even though the ceremony is choreographed, in a large arena more suitable for a basketball game, the performance was genuinely felt, and emotionally moving.
The hotel ,as we were expecting from the photographs, was trying to combine the traditional with the modern with a very successful way. Our room was really clean and cozy. The location of the hotel was just great. Even though was not a buffet, the breakfast was exceptional, probably because the quality was really good in everything. Last but not least, the staff was the best thing in the hotel, everyone were friendly and eager to help. Also the suggestions of the owner really helped us to organise a perfect day in Konya.
Nice hotel located 100 metersn from Mevlana museum, the top touristic place in Konya and also close to some other attractions, mosques, museums and a lively shopping area. The hotel is nice and clean, has elevator and offers breakfast. Parking was possible on the street next to the hotel. Our room was big enough, with wifi and air conditioning working well, also a small fridge. Bathroom big, beds comfortable. Everything very clean. Staff helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed our one night stay.
The hotel is new, well built, and in good condition. There are plenty of comfortable common areas to sit and meet.
There is a pool and hammam on site.
The room was great. We've been upgraded to a room, as ours had ac issue. The room we got was impeccable. The beds comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked, and ac worked super well, and the shower powerful and hot.
The breakfast was one of the best we've had in Turkey.
The staff were incredible and always tried everything to help.
For a ridiculously low cost (possibly due to Ramadan) I got the best room of my trip - spacious, clean, quiet, NO smell of smoking (as so often happens in Turkey), comfortable bed, excellent furnishing, excellently placed 12-15 mins walk from Mevlana, 15-20 to Alaadin, generally central. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've had for some time (again, all included in a fantastic price). There is a gym and plenty of reception space if you you need to get out of the room.
We loved our stay at THINK hotel. It’s in an excellent location in the heart of Konya, within sight of the Mevlana Museum. The hotel looks unobtrusive from the outside, but step inside and it is very stylish with comfortably appointed rooms, a downstairs cafe and a rooftop cafe. It was excellent value for the price we paid (including a generous breakfast), and we wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Highly recommended!
The place is close to everything you might need. It is a family hotel and Yilmaz his wife Fatima and his mother Nasle could not be more friendly and helpful. The only thing that you may not like is that the hotel is close to the mosque , but if you are one of those who do not like to listen to the mohacin all the time, you simply do not have to choose Turkey to travel.
The hotel is walking minutes away from Mevlana Museum, Shems Tebriz Mosque. The parking is locked and under video surveillance. The staff is awesome, they'll gladly direct you to the best baclava shop in town or give you info about an upcoming sema ceremony.
I was comfortable in this hotel, it is clean, warm, affordable, close to the center. The staff is nice and the breakfast is good. A recommendable hotel :)
I just wish they spoke English more but that is a problem in most hotels in Konya.
Beautifully decorated boutique hotel. If I come back to Konya I will definitely stay here again. Every room even smells so great.
Good breakfast, too. The location couldn't be better, right next to the Mevlana Museum and Selimiye Mosque.
Güzel and Irem were very welcoming and always willing to help. The hotel decoration is very elaborate. Breakfast is very good and tasty. The location of the hotel is just perfect. Everything you might need is around the corner.
Location just behind Hazrat Mawlana R.A. Reception staff also very helpful. Also the best restaurant in Konya just in front of hotel providing authentic Konya cuisine and very affordable - Maaruf Turbeonu Lokantasi.
Very good location, clean hotel. The best words are going to the lady on the reception, who was super friendly with amazing English and gave us so practical and important advices for our short stay in Konya.
The helpful owner and the superb breakfast, probably the best I had in my whole trip in Turkey.
Location is excellent, quite close to all the most important things to see in Konya.
Perfect from every angle,
Super nice staff, excellent location and amazing interior design; very simple yet elegant.
I loved it and I hope to visit Konya and hitch hotel again.
Spacious lobby, decent rooms, excellent breakfast in a spacious dining room
We bought several souvenirs at the hotel lobby at prices less than at souvenir shops
The hotel is very near to Metro station and all other attractions in Konya. The hotel is very clean, good lightings, hot water shower, and all other amenities
