Charming little town on the River Dee with loads of attractions from the Llangollen canal to hill walking. Right in the heart of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct World Heritage Site, so a very interesting and historical place. Not enough time to visit everything, so would like to return.

great holiday location, walking mountain biking or white water rafting and canoeing plus lots of bars / restaurants for after or instead of.
The horse shoe falls are entirely uninspiring. more of a small weir in a field.
the 20mph speed limits are ridiculous in places. steap hills and low speed mean low gears and high revs. Hardly improving the lives of those who live there.
Wales has so much to offer, nice people, beautiful hills and rivers and some of the best beaches Ive ever seen.

Llangollen was very busy on the afternoon of arrival.
Llangollen was very busy on the afternoon of arrival. Some areas are still looking shabby especially some of the original hotels which is a shame ie window frames, doors etc etc, Road works were gone which was a huge improvement from my last visit. Small businesses exist and artisan eateries seem to be doing well. Large mobile home site was full. 20mph a nightmare for locals who are having to adjust to changes in various locations at main roads in from 30 to 40? and 20 to 50 at various stretches, there seems to be little sense in the changes that have been made, New game. spot 30mph??? .

The staff were absolutely fantastic !
The staff were absolutely fantastic ! Friendly, helpful and a good sense of humour, especially Cath :0).
We were given a private parking spot in the grounds of the property which was very useful.
Llangollen is a nice friendly town which we found to be very quiet, picturesque and peaceful.
Beautiful decor, cosy and warm, friendly host who went out of her way to make us welcome. Feels like a 5 start hotel luxury. Soft fluffy towels, complimentary toiletries, everything you need in the kitchen including a welcome hamper. The secret garden is gorgeous with views over the river, also from the bedroom. Smart TVs with Netflix and Prime Video. Lovely country kitchen, comfy bed and sofa. It was a perfect winter get away with lovely walks in and around Llangollen. Lovely places to eat, drink and shop. We'll be returning!
Lovely B&B, conveniently located right down the hill from Llangollen Wharf and across the street from the train station. Our room (Room 3), which was at the back of the building, was amazingly quiet. Very comfy bed, fluffy pillows, beautifully decorated room. Delicious breakfast brought to the room every morning (croissant, fresh berries, yogurt, granola, toast, orange juice, hot drinks). Olivia is a wonderful host--very welcoming and helpful with luggage, local information, etc. A wonderful place to stay!
If you want to stay in a yurt (and I did), this really is a very good one to choose. I had thought that it might be a field of yurts, but on the contrary it was a single yurt in its own field north of Llangollen. You're not going to get hotel comforts (think of staying in a house with no central heating) but you'll get clean air, beautiful skies (in the right weather) and a romantic spot. I thought that the instructions for getting there and once you were in the yurt were very clear and helpful too.
The House is a pretty modern update of a traditionally built cottage with everything we needed. parking for 2 cars and 10 mins from central Llangollen. Views from bedroom, kitchen and lounge windows all grand and zero road noise (some owls about tho) It was warm and tidy, Hosts are very helpful and fast to communicate, we weren't in a lot as attending a family wedding and related get togethers. Beds were good which is always a rental bonus
Such a well presented cottage with some lovely finishing touches that really made it feel both welcoming but with a little touch of luxury and dog friendly! Perfect location for exploring all that Llangollen and the beautiful surrounding countryside has to offer with great canal walks on the doorstep. Despite being a stones throw from the town it was very quiet at night. The use of the parking permit is a really nice addition.
The location is the Huts main attraction, but it also helps that’s it’s something special. Not just any ordinary hotel or accommodation. It certainly did have The Wow Factor. The hot tub was a real treat. Mike was on hand when we arrived, the little added touch of a surprise treat was just lovely. Thank you. Llangollen didn’t disappoint either. What a lovely town. We certainly will be back.
Location was lovely. Short walk to horseshoe falls and Llangollen and the hotel looks over the river Dee. The staff were friendly. We had breakfast and evening meal and the food was delicious. Such a pretty place to stay. However the bathroom wasn't very clean and shower curtain needed washing and tiles wanted scrubbing but such a beautiful location we let it go.
The location is ideal for a night out around Llangollen, the staff are very friendly and prices cheaper than some of the nearby pubs. The jewel in the crown is the amazing cooked Welsh Breakfast, the quality of the produce just jumps of the plate and it is cooked fresh to order and was the best breakfast I have ever had while staying over in many hotels in the UK.
Beautiful and immaculate townhouse in a great location!
Bethan gave us great recommendations for restaurants whilst we were in the area and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend staying here to anybody wanting to visit Llangollen for the weekend!
Lovely welcome. For a B&B the extras in the room were amazing, and better than most hotels I've stayed in. Room was very clean and staff really friendly and helpful. Parking is free and secure and the B&B is so close to everything in Llangollen.
Amazing hotel, junior suite was fantastic, great balcony, what a view, evening meal was delicious and breakfast was excellent, staff so friendly and helpful, one of the best places we have stayed in and cant wait to come back
We had an enjoyable stay. Just a short walk to Llangollen. Our rooms had everything we needed for our 2 night stay, breakfast was nice and plentiful, ample free parking and dog friendly too.
The hotel is very nice both with the amenities and the quality of staff service. It is easily walkable to the areas that we wanted to visit. We would certainly visit again if in the area.
Stayed overnight for canal trip on Llangollen aqueduct. Location was great as only a few minutes walk away. Rooms were large and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was lovely.
Lovely hotel, all facilities are brilliant
Short walk into Llangollen town centre with loads of shops and places to eat.
