The L Hotel, hotel in Brooklyn

Set within 2.6 mi of Barclays Center and 8.1 mi of Cony Island, The L Hotel offers rooms in Brooklyn.

The free parking was a bonus, although the lot was quite full. Thankfully, we got there early enough in the afternoon to snag a spot. The concierge was friendly and efficient. There were no issues with our booking. The room was small but had great lighting and everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom was clean and updated. Nice-sized shower.

Sheraton Brooklyn New York, hotel in Brooklyn

The Sheraton Brooklyn New York is 1056 feet from MetroTech Center and is 528 feet from the subway station. The hotel offers a restaurant and Barclays Center is 0.8 mi away.

Finding a good hotel in New York with decent room size but with mid-range price is really challenging. I found this hotel to be in a great location—close to the subway, restaurants, coffee shops and shops (e.g. Target, pharmacy). And it also has pretty decent room size for the price. I would recommend it!

Hampton Inn Brooklyn Downtown, hotel in Brooklyn

Featuring a complimentary breakfast, Hampton Inn Brooklyn Downtown is just 1 mile from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Free Wi-Fi access is available.

As with previous stays, from the moment we arrived(most often via red-eye from Arizona and knowing we'd be too early to check in to a room) the staff was gracious, warm and welcoming, considerate of our situation, and wanting to accommodate us as fast and efficiently as they were able. Inspite of still having to wait several hours for our room, we felt cared for. Every employee we have ever interacted with has been exemplary and checked in with us via text several times during our stay to see if they could be of further assistance.

FAQ about cottages in Brooklyn

The Giant of New York

Immortalized in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were its own city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!

The borough is connected to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It's also connected to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the northeast, Brooklyn Bridge Park has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while southeast is the huge Prospect Park.

On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighboring Queens.

At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Renovations are underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden roller coaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.

Cheap Brooklyn hotels are great alternatives to accommodations in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.

Brooklyn is my home town, so im very familiar with how to get around. This hotel happen to be walking distance to one of my favorite bargin stores of all time. This hotel has a bus stop right in front of it that take you express into the city. During my stay i would walk the few block to the train station and once i was done with my day in the city i would take the express bus straight to the hotel, what a luxury. I always enjoy my time in New York !

Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth.

Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth. Old, new, rich, not-so-rich. Every cuisine and kind of neighborhood. Prospect Park is in great shape and safe. The new(ish) waterfront parks by the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights are in super condition and have great view of lower Manhattan. Walking the bridge is a really highlight. So much more reasonable than staying in Manhattan too, and just a really short subway ride to all the best lower Manhattan attractions and neighborhoods. People have a lot of crazy ideas that big cities are bad and broken in the USA. It’s just not true in Brooklyn. It’s a great place that’s better than it was 20-30 years ago.

The place to stay if you are looking to visit Brooklyn. They have lovely spacious studios, kitchenette included. All the areas are in good state and kept clean. The rooms are homely decorated, so you feel at ease immediately. There are also lovely businesses in the area to discover. Location is great and that's about it. Brand new hotel with tiny rooms. Penny competes more with pod hotels as the rooms are cheaply, minimally furnished. The hotel itself has zero amenities except free bikes to borrow. The Williamsburg Hotel, Hoxton and other nearby hotels also have 200sq ft rooms but they are packed with style and the properties themselves have plenty of amenities like rooftop bars, restaurants ...

Comfortable room, bed, clean. It's a generic modem hotel with parking. Nice views over Manhattan and Brooklyn. The location isn't for tourists though, we were staying near friends in red hook. It's either leaving on a cruise or you know NYC well enough to get the river ferry. Red Hook is not well served with public transport. They have parking though. For us, it was great value in the right location for our purposes

The hotel has a unique and appealing vibe to it, and they provide some facilities to support that. The location is very good and the neighborhood is clean and safe. It is also close to 2 metro stations that can easily take you to 2 major spots in Manhattan. It is also within walking distance of Brooklyn bridge. We liked the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room that gave us enough view of the city.
