Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Possibly the best hostel I have ever stayed - though that word doesn’t do it justice! Onsen and all common spaces were beautiful, the kitchen was the best appointed I’ve ever seen with everything from cooking sake to coffee beans and grinders, staff were helpful. It’s a bit out of the way of things but that makes for a really peaceful atmosphere.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Amazing stay at this ryokan fully furnished , there was an amazing onsen in the room and 3 other onsens to use in the ryokan. The people working here are really welcoming and helpful ! Few things to know : the onsen water keeps flowing during the night which can disturb a little bit the sleep + there is a hill to go to the village but it is managable. Highly recommend for a great time in Kusatsu

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. I loved everything about this place! The staff was amazing, super friendly and nice people. Very helpful and cheerful but professional. The food was amazing too. I'm vegan and can say that I didn't expect that a hotel would put so much effort into creating a perfect vegan meal. Thank you so much for this experience. The Onsen is great too, I loved it (public and private ones). Directly in front of the hotel is a bus stop so it's super easy to get everywhere from the hotel. The room was very clean and beautiful, providing everything you need. I wish I could have stayed longer at this amazing place! Highly recommend!

Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.2 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 3.6 km of Kowakudani Station. The room was gorgeous! The breakfast was really good and it had two different onsen. The onsen were small, but I liked it a lot. The people were nice. I highly recommend this place! It was beautiful.

Providing lake views and a garden, Chuzenji Pension offers accommodation in a prime location in Nikko, within a short distance of Kegon Falls, Chuzenji Lake and Chuzenji Temple. Super friendly and helpful staff, everyone can speak English. Food is top-notch. The view from the room is magnificent.
