Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicThe "choice" and quality of pastries, which can be optionally bought for breakfast, could be improved.
Good location in Central Manhattan. Surely the rooms is super small with a bunk bed, but it was expected given the price we paid. The bathroom is quite large though. Nice bar downstairs.

United KingdomThe rooms were pretty small, so it wasn't exactly a place you'd want to spend a huge amount of time relaxing as it can feel a little cramped. But most of the time that wasn't really an issue. Would've been nice for the bathroom door to lock/shut fully.
Good location, the bar area was really nice and made good use of the pool table and table tennis - a very enjoyable aspect of the hotel. Everything else was very much functional, comfortable bed with TV.

United KingdomThe rooms are very small and also have no fridge or coffee making facilities. (Although free coffee is available from the lobby and pastries can also be bought at breakfast time.)
The location was excellent, close to Grand Central station and within walking distance of many famed Manhattan sites. It’s surrounded by numerous delis and restaurants, with a very good D’Agostino supermarket around the corner. The rooms themselves are small, functional and clean - they are places to sleep rather than spend time hanging out.

SingaporeThe room is just too small.
The location is very central and convenient, easy access to subway, eatry, and some of the attractions. Room is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Even though room is very small, the bed and shower place are reasonably enough. Free hot coffee/tea is provided.

ColombiaIt's expensive, even for Manhattan, given the room size and facilities. The air ducts pass inside the rooms making noise 24/7.
The location is excellent, only three blocks away from Grand Central. There is free morning coffee in the lounge.

United States of AmericaThe lighting in the bathroom for putting on makeup was very lacking. I would have also liked a full size mirror (at least a thin one mounted on the wall). Storage shelving in the bathroom was very narrow, making it hard to hold much of anything.
Think: inside cabin on a cruise ship, but with a window. The space was adequate for sleeping and getting dressed, which is all we expected for a vacation where we won't spend much time in the room. The air/heat control was very responsive and easy to operate. The water pressure in the shower was fabulous!

GermanyDidn’t like that the rooms were extremely small, hardly any space to open your luggage. We were playing tetris with the 2 big and 2 small suitcases in a room with a bunk bed. Unfortunately, there was no space below the bed to store some luggage, that would have been helpfully.
Loved the bar with free coffee/tea in the mornings and big couches to relax, ping-pong table. Also liked that they had a free luggage storage, the mattress as well as the pillows were comfortable. Shower was nice, everything was clean. We chose this accommodation because it is close to Grand Central Station and therefore all the main tourist attractions are easily reachable with a group of six people.

SpainI didn't like the fact that I was overcharged more than I expected regarding the deposit that you have to pay in advance. When you book this hotel, booking doesn't warn you that it's $30 per night and $90 for reserving the room in advance. The whole amount that I was held by the hotel rose to 240+90 so I paid 1,170 as soon as I checked in. Three days after checking out they refunded the 240$ and on March 20th the other 90$.
I liked the silence in the rooms and the hotel staff at reception was very helpful when they charged me an amount that I didn't understand. Also, the area where the hotel is located is very quiet and safe.
