The hotel consists of a small house with rooms. Each with a code. shared kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped. Wifi works well. The rooms are clean, the bedding is clean.

Cleanliness - The toilet seat's recessed areas weren't cleaned prior to my stay and was just unpleasantly unclean with a buildup of previous urine/faecal matter. There was what appeared to be small blood stains on the shower curtain and the floor, along with what seemed to be a used plaster (bandaid) wedged between the shower curtain rail and the wall. The walls are very thin. During my stay I could hear when the guests above me were arguing, throwing things around the room and slamming doors. You can hear when they walk around at night, you can hear when they urinate, you can hear EVERYTHING. The front door and rear bathroom door aren't properly sealed so when other guests smoke in the garden area, the smell seeps into the bedroom. You can also hear their conversations. The kitchen was a nightmare - Other guests left half eaten bowls of food sitting in the sink for hours/overnight, and tabletop surfaces weren't cleaned, the microwave was often left with food/sauce exploded on the inside and uncleaned - This attracted hundreds of ants. The fridge inside the bedroom is very loud and drones at random time. The A/C unit is also very loud and doesn't cool down the room that quickly/effectively. The bathroom door's handle is a bit funny and often "sticks" - a previous review showed a video where they had to kick the door off as they got stuck in the bathroom, this almost happened to me a number of times. Stricter house and kitchen rules need to be enforced because the actions of other guests are what really put a downer on my stay.

The host was great, very friendly and any questions I had were answered very quickly. The room is very spacious with draws and cupboards to store away your belongings and the private bathroom makes it so that your independence and privacy from the rest of the house is ensured. The hairdryer in the bathroom and the fridge inside the bedroom were nice touches, an iron and ironing board aren't present though but would have been appreciated. For the money, it's a relatively nice and homely feel.

It is in a bad area, house smells wierd. Room has ac window unit right on top of the bed headboard. There is no staff, I got locked in the bathroom due to a faulty door handle and the owner said the help needs 2 to 3 hours to get there. I had to kick down the door. https://youtu.be/I1WZ0CYewd4

Worst room I ever stayed at. AC unit is a chepo window unit on top of bed head board. It is loud and without it the room smells stuffy. Floor is sticky too. Owner wants to be Airbnb his house out but does not want to do maintenance. https://youtu.be/Rj3AbUl-6qM

I want to share my bad experience with this Host, hoping it may be useful. I'm used to traveling a lot, I've visited many places around the world, having been to more than 30 countries and known many people, but I have never met a person as rude and dishonest as the Owner of this room. My disadventure started with me being just 10 mins late in respect to the booking hour (something i told him during the reservation) and, nevertheless, the Owner did not let me in the room, with the absurd justification that the person in charge of performing the check-in was already gone away. Moreover, after denying me access to the room (through a self check-in) he told me through the doorbell (that does not work properly, you can hear little to nothing) to go away and contact Booking to file a claim. Of course he kept the money, refused to refund me and deleted my 3 days reservation, so that night I found myself alone without any chance to get a room in an unknown and unfriendly neighborhood without internet connection (just for 10 mins late). I managed to get by but I am not sure that anyone else in that situation would have been able to make do. I decided to make another reservation the next day for that same room thinking we could find an agreement on what happened but he never answered back, refused to refund me and even encouraged me to leave a review on Booking. Most importantly he made me do a self check-in infact there is no person in charge for check-in. The kitchen doesn't have enough items, i had to share the a couple of fork with other guests and also, no salt, no oil, no napkins. The room doesn't have any soap and toilet paper and there was a lot of noise all day because there was a house being built exactly next to my room. Be aware that he runs several rooms on Booking that will be not affected by this review but those are in the same building, so keep in mind if you are considering a place in the same area, probably it's his property as well.
