Nothing major - some noise from people moving around, particularly in the morning, but we just put our earplugs in and it was completely fine. The frosted glass doors on showers were not an issue because you can't see anything through them, but a lock on the shower doors wouldn't go amiss. Couldn't figure out how to turn the TV on properly, but that might've been our problem! The main light in our bedroom didn't work, but we did have a bedside lamp, so again this was no major issue.

Overall a great place to stay. Really comfortable beds, and good price considering the location - such a safe feeling neighbourhood with plenty of cafes and restaurants a few minutes' walk away, and Santa Monica beach only a short drive (or 1h walk). Having a sink in the bedroom made all the difference, as there was no queuing to brush your teeth at night. Appreciated the free parking too, and the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Thanks!

Our bed fram was metal, different with the wood it shows on the booking.com pictures. It is noisy, any movement will creaks.

I like it is quite close to Santa Monica pier, even it need 20 mins bus ride. It is 2-3 blocks from restaurant and amenities so it's quite convenient.

I noticed that the door to the hotel was usually open and unlocked (even if we came back at 9/10 pm which I assume was for check in). The women’s bathroom didn’t have locks on the shower. I found this quite odd and also a bit of a safety risk as anyone could walk into the bathroom and come into the shower. The shower doors were also frosted and I could see the outline of people when they walked past so assumed they could also see my outline! Would recommend putting locks on the inside of the shower cubicles for added safety. The room smelt and looked clean, yet our feet/socks got incredibly dirty from walking around the room. Maybe the floor isn’t being cleaned properly.

I liked that it was a great location in a lovely and safe neighbourhood. We were able to walk to shops that were close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful, check in was very easy. The price is also great, not a flash room but fine for a few day stay!

My last two days had inconsiderate neighbours (loud TV and bathroom slobs). Note: Facilities were very clean, but cleaners can't work all hours of day and night. The room window could not be opened or closed due to an inoperable latch. There is no room heater if cold outside. There is no room AC if hot outside. This is normal for older housing areas in Southern California.

Room and facilities are clean and comfortable. The concept works perfectly when folks are considerate and well-mannered.

Rooms are tiny. The only place to sit is on your bed. You literally want to show up to sleep, and leave first thing in the morning tbh Womens showers on first floor have no where to hang your towel or clothes and one of the showers had no soaps etc. Kinda smelled weird. Stayed 3 nights. Room did not get cleaned or get fresh towels once.

Location was great. We walked to the beach (long but we like to walk). Staff were nice. Lots of options for food close by. We used public transit, and it was convenient. Good to have laundry on site too.

The dresser in my room was broken / half falling apart. Didn't bother me too much as I lived primarily out of my suitcase but surprised management hasn't replaced it. The shared bathrooms were okay. They did often feel a bit "moist" and had an odd smell to them that I couldn't quite place, like a stale, moist smell. The ventilating fan wasn't in the best condition and looked grimey so overall I usually tried to keep my bathroom sessions as short as possible as this wasn't really a comfortable area. (Tip to travellers: Definitely pack bath slippers, all in all this area felt a bit like a public pool's bathroom.) It was comforting to know however that the staff cleaned the bathrooms daily and it was also a nice touch that they added shampoo and body soap in the showers, wasn't expecting that.

The location was great, plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, etc. in the area. That really made a big difference. The bed was also very comfortable and it's nice they offer single dose washing powder at a very fair price. Also, having a sink and microwave in the room was a gamechanger! My stay would not have been as enjoyable as it was without the sink in the room. The other guests were also polite and I never had any issues with noise. Front desk always very kind and helpful. Would likely stay here again. Also the room was very clean!
