Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe lack of hostel spirit. It is a very nice place but without common room and alternatives to interact with other travelers.
The interior design is super cozy. The room and the bedroom were very confortable.

The shared room was very clean and the bathroom was in the room, which was also very clean and had a lot of space. The location is nice, the breakfast was good.

KenyaNothing in particular
The property is well located and a walking distance from the main train station. The service staff at the reception were great and helpful. They have an online room access system through a downloadable app. However, this was not able to work on my phone and they provided me a physical card to access my room. Good value for money, I recommend this.

ItalyOne of the downsides is that, guest to have access to unlimited WiFi access (Limited to just 500MB), and should you need an unlimited connection, you'd pay extra 5 Pln (still very affordable though). Secondly, the guest doesn't have access to the kitchen except you booked a breakfast as a complimentary service. It requires additional charge to gain access daily. Furthermore, my experience with some Ukrainians in my assigned room were being racist and very condescending. Aside from these few observations, the service and facility were valued for money.
The hostel is well maintained, clean, and situated in a strategic location close to the city centre (1.2km) and central bus or train station.

SpainThe front desk staff was rude to us and didn’t even smile, which was weird considering that they were smiling to people before attending us. We were supposed to have towels for free in our private room and they made us pay.
We got a private room , it was very clean and spacious. We did not expect to have to put on the bedding but we did not mind. It was nice to have a luggage room before and after the stay. Price wise , and value for money i would recommend.

EstoniaKitchen use costs extra.
Seems to be a former hotel converted to a hostel. Doors must be opened with Keymo app that you can easily download, but you can get a keycard too if you want. The staff was nice and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Each dorm room seems to have its own bathroom. The standard for the bathroom was higher that usually in a backpacker hostel, more akin to a decent budget hotel standard. The room was pretty quiet and I slept well, but seems there are youth groups there sometimes - bring earplugs. The location is well suited for exploring Wroclaw, the old town is just a short walk away and lots of good eating places around, train station also nearby. The staff apparently wasn't aware of this according to my messages with them, but there is actually a free car park just a 2 min walk from the hostel that had plenty of free space on a weekend in February - might be useful for those travelling with a car, just follow the street the hostel is on eastwards and you will see it along the next bigger intersecting street.

Czech RepublicI had place on the top of a bunk bed and it was quite uncomfortable. You are expected to download a mobile application for opening the room instead of getting normal chip card or a key, and it doesn´t work good. Quite strange system with charged using of the kitchen (come on, it is just a hostel!). It seems as the hostel management wants to prevent seasonal workers to rent dorms and use it as cheap long term accommodation, but, however, it is a little bit unfriendly to other types of guests too...
For 1-2 nights and when you don´t expect exellent conditions, it is fine. The hostel is not in the closest city center, but very near to the main railway station (about 12 minutes by walk) and not so far from the historical center. All ladies from the hostel staff were very, very friendly and helpful! Even shared dorms have their own bathrooms and everything is very clean. There is nice space for working etc. in the hostel lobby. There is a possibility to pay a breakfast as well and I strongly recommend it: for this price is really rich and tasty!

United KingdomI know there's a general no alcohol policy but sometimes guests drink in the dormitory and then need to deal with drunk people. It's not the hostel's fault just what happens in the bigger places i guess.
It's a big hostel, but always consistent and no nonsense. The reception is extremely friendly and helpful.. it's always clean and comfortable.

CanadaWhen I arrived there was a queue of at least 12 people lined up out the office, into the stairwell, down the stairs, and nearly out the door. The check-in process is completely inefficient and needs to be streamlined. Like, why isn't someone giving the information sheet to each person waiting so they can fill it in BEFORE they reach the desk? Instead, each person takes nearly 15 minutes to complete the forms and provide details while everyone else just stands there. I arrived at 15:00 and didn't get checked in until after 16:30. Such a waste of time.
The hostel is perfectly located and has many facilities, most of which I did not use but they were still welcome, and the ensuite bathroom in my dorm room was great. Beds were comfortable, sockets provided next to the lower bunk but none in the upper bunk - the upper bunk guest has to use the sockets next to you in the bottom. Example: the guy in the above bunk left in the morning and I woke up with him leaning over top of me to unplug his charger... it was unnerving. The building is big and quiet with the old town within a comfortable walking distance away. The free lockers in the room were a great plus as well!
