Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe coin operated dryer didn't work at all and was a complete waste of money - our clothes were in there for 90 minutes and it did nothing. Also, the air conditioning in the room did not work.
Breakfast buffet, early check in for a reasonable price, luggage scale in the lobby, room was comfortable, location was 15 min walk from Shinjuku station. The bakery was phenomenal.

CanadaThe 20 minute walk to the centre of Shinjuku- Golden Gai area. Not overly negative as it was nice to get away from the hussle-bustle but that was my one and only critique, and a weak one at that.
This beautiful boutique hotel charmed my family with its trendy and warm vibes. Walk into the lobby and you are welcomed by soft tempo house music and friendly staff. Hotel is small, not your large scale run of the mill or typical business stays. A superb tapas bar on the first floor was great for pre-drinks. A restaurant grill upstairs for dinner and a very fresh bakery with superb offerings downstairs. We stayed in a triple bed room and were pleased with the size and furnishings. The property is a 10 minute walk to the metro line E28 and E29 and surrounded by restaurants for all tastes in a quieter side of Shinjuku.

United StatesRestaurant is a separate entity so you cannot just go in (no seat or full) and no room service. So when you are hungry you have to to walk a bit to get food
Cool hotel and great food!!! Great for runner! Big park for you to do the jogging!

AustraliaAs it’s a quiet location, it’s a 15-25min walk to the main area of Shinjuku. A very doable walk but good to be aware of. There are two closer train stations but if you want the Yamanote (circle) line you’ll need to go to Shinjuku station.
Nice quiet location next to Chuo Park with a great bakery at the front of the hotel for breakfast. Easy to get to Shibuya via the bus and there’s a Family Mart just down the road.

United KingdomThe piped music in the breakfast area is absolutely dreadful! My daughter thought it was like music for a funeral and each day was no better so although it’s lively at breakfast relaxing lighter music would get the day off to a better start. There’s plenty of good music out there for this purpose. Also we stayed 4 nights and the room was serviced on day 3, whereas it would have been better to service on day 2 .
The breakfast was very good, but as they stop serving at 9.30 some food items are not replenished after about 9.10.. the quality was very good.

AustraliaThe small rooms made it difficult to navigate around our bags and between the beds.
The room was on the small size but clean and comfortable. The location was lovely, opposite a park, and much quieter than being in the heart of Shinjuku, with a 15- 20 minute walk to the train station. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, and the bakery downstairs was fabulous with a large range of pastries, bread and sandwiches freshly baked each morning. Staff were helpful, courteous and friendly.

AustraliaThe room is on the small side like many in Japan. For a short stay it’s fine, just not a lot of room for luggage and getting around beds and suitcases is tight.
It was directly across the road from a lovely park. A little more in the business district which was nice and quiet but still a close walk to more popular areas. The park had a Starbucks so we had coffee there a few times. The hotel had helpful staff, and the bakery downstairs is a great addition.

DenmarkVery tiny rooms
Breakfast was great The room was clean, but very tiny. Staff was very friendly Bus transpotation worked very well and metro also close by. We just arrived from the Knot in Hiroshima, where the rooms were so much bigger, so this was a drastic contrast, especially for the price. But Tokyo is just so much more expensive.

United StatesThe room was the smallest I have ever stayed in. There was barely enough room to walk. The bare minimum with almost no place to hang clothes.
The staff and restaurants were both very good. The location was also good, not too far from mass transit and next to a great park. A fun younger feel to the public spaces in the hotel. The room was clean and quiet if small.

United StatesThe rooms are a bit too small even with upgraded size to supreme twin. The washing machine was good but the dryers took too long to dry. They were vented to inside the laundry room which made the room humid and very warm. The vent ends were covered with filters but nobody was cleaning them, making moisture impossible to escape. It took 3 cycles to dry jeans.
The location. Great bakery.

clean and stylish hotel that was well priced. we loved the downstairs bakery and picked up breakfast there every morning. there was also a restaurant and lounge and events so the lobby area felt lively. this place seems mainly popular with foreign travelers.
