I can't think of anything not to like

The whole place is beautifully decorated, feels really homely and is spotlessly clean. While the walk to it is a little work, we quickly got used to it and loved that the location wasn't quite in the centre of town but within short walking distance. The views from our room were gorgeous and really brightened our mornings. While we didn't meet anyone in person, the brief exchange we had with staff over email was very pleasant.

As the name suggests, it’s up a big hill but that was fine for us!

Understand the bed was 2 singles pushed together but absolutely understand the need- not a dealbreaker at all

This is NOT a complaint, but anyone with a serious disability should be aware that the stairs to the very top rooms are steep! Let the establishment know if this is the case :)

The rooms were really great - very spacious and spotless. Alex was excellent as a host and helped a great deal with where best to find parking (parking is almost non-existent in the street and very confusing for us as "foreigners"). Alex kept in touch over Whatsapp and made the stay a great one! We were all extremely happy with the quality of the rooms and the location overall.

We had a great stay at Hill House - the room was lovely, the bed was super comfy and the location was quiet and very close to the city centre. The fresh flowers dotted around the place showed the care of the owners.

Very minor points that did not affect our enjoyment at all: the shower draining being a tiny bit slow with a bit of water gathering, and the WiFi a bit patchy at times. No bother at all however!

Great value and very generous hosts. Made our weekend in Bath truly special with the added comfort of the lounge/kitchen area. Two bathrooms made getting ready extra easy and the presentation, decor and facilities were fantastic. Bed was also very comfortable with lots of space in the property for relaxing. We spent most of our time out and about but it made our trip that much more special knowing we could retire to a truly comfortable, secluded and quiet place. Would recommend!

No one was at the premises when I was originally told to arrive at 3. And there was no hot breakfast available for the next morning due to the kitchen being unopened. I had to stop someone in the street to help me get in touch with the owner to get inside because I had not received their instructions for the door.. Luckily, someone who knew the owner walked by and called him for me to get me in the building.

Only small downside is 5- 10 minute walk up hill from the town centre but if you are fit it’s a very minor point and the view is great.

The name gives it away, the house is situated at the top of a hill. So the walk to and from the house from center can be a little tiring. It does give you amazing views as soon as you step out of the house!

The room and linen were clean. Despite the flat being on the lower ground it still got enough natural light and was very nicely decorated. The room was the perfect place to explore Bath for a weekend away! Hedgemead Park is on your doorstep!

- Not a negative - but be mindful the stay is on top of the hill (a bit of leg work to get there!) and the room on the 5th floor has no elevator. I enjoyed a bit of extra exercise though. - 5th floor ceiling height is about 2.1m - my tall boyfriend had troubles to fit in a shower :) I'm sure the rooms below have higher ceiling though

The stay was amazing! - It was very quiet - The place is in historical house, yet amenities very modern - it is warm (in cold October weather) and the shower is very hot with good pressure - the bathroom and the room have a window with amazing view to the valley (5th floor) - The coffees teas and biscuits are complimentary and delicious - the hosts were attentive to requests (for example advised on parking etc) - location is very close to the centre of Bath (5-10 mins walk), but not as busy and noisy as the centre (no crowds and noise!) Just perfect! - price - the price point is very cheap for the quality of space

Although pre- warned, it hadn’t really registered that there was no breakfast on the weekend we stayed and we would have preferred something especially on the day we were heading off as effectively had to pack the car up and then find something- the recommendations were good and nearby. Parking spaces were a bit tricky to find - so we dropped the luggage & then left the car in the same spot until we left.

Comfortable spacious room with good facilities. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Well located for our trip as wedding guests in the centre. Responses were speedy on WA.
