How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only thing I didn’t like was you could hear the rooms doors open and shut all the time .
So close and walking distance to the places I wanted to go to .

Off site parking location was confusing to find and we parked in the wrong car park so couldn't get a discount. Carpets could do with a good steam clean?
Staff assistance was outstanding in meeting our requests. Free drink for no housekeeping service was a good reward. Value for money. The overall experience was great. Bar open late for drinks on Sunday night was also great. Great location.

Room had a coffee machine but no pods provided to make a coffee which was a let down, we also didn’t have access to call reception on the phone as the phone was just dead so didn’t bother asking for the pods. The $100 deposit before checking in also caught me by surprise, would’ve been nice to know this prior time check in/ at time of booking.
The location was unmatched - could easily walk to the CBD where there was bars/ restaurants/ tram access (and did every where except to the airport) free drink voucher if you skipped a room turn down was a nice little bonus, also nice there’s a bar at the hotel and a clean and comfortable venue.

unfortunately there was a pizza box hiding under the bed that we found the following morning, toothpaste was on the shower handles aswell. looked cleaned but after smelling something unusual and finding a pizza box underneath the bed it was a bit odd.
perfect location with amazing staff! good value for money aswell!

Although I absolutely loved the water pressure, the bathroom floods as the drain is not big enough to handle the flow of water. Wasn’t a big deal as there is another drain outside the shower. The floor was just very wet.
Nice and modern quirky hotel in a great location. Comfortable bed. Very friendly staff at reception. Great coffee from the onsite cafe. Would stay again.

Whilst the room was small, for a single traveller, it was perfect. It was super clean and comfortable and quite modern. They do have bigger rooms, but I was really happy with the smaller room on my own. It was less than 10 minute walk to the MCEC, so very handy.

The bed is fairly small for two adults, some spots in the room weren't super clean. The doona had an improvised cover made of two sheets.

Not happy that all the lights turn on from your switch beside the bed and you can't just have 1 light for reading. Keeps the other person awake. Very comfortable beds.

Didn’t like the layout of the room, particularly the bathroom. It’s okay if it’s just one person, but with more than one it’s a little awkward. Also, didn’t feel very clean. There were marks all over the carpet on the headboard of the bed. Plus the bed was tiny.
Super great location and general good vibes in the hotel. Feels young and laid back and staff were super friendly and helpful!

The room was dusty. The water pressure in the shower was amazing but because it was so forceful and such a small shower, water was going under the shower door and would soak the floor mat.
Central Southbank location and easy to commute to other places - few tram stops around the area about 8 or so minute walk away. Big TV in the room and the hotel stored my luggage for me on my last day.

The shower toilet situation is quite strange. The toilet and shower are in the small enclosed area. The water also seeps into the rest of the bathroom and makes the whole floor wet.
The beds were quite comfortable and it's in an awesome location! Super close to southbank and a really cute coffee shop right next to it.

The internet connection was appalling. I had to cancel 2 zoom business meetings. Additionally even normal phone calls did not have strong connections.
