The host was very responsive and extremely kind in wanting to make sure we were comfortable. The house is lovely and exactly as described in the photo. We also found fruit and water upon arrival. The location was very quiet and close to the sea and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it for a stay in Gabes.

Located in Tamezret in the Gabes region, Auberge de Tamezret features a patio. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. This is by far one of the most special places we’ve been to. I read a review where one said it was worth the 500 km detour from Tunis, I’ll give you a better one: it’s worth a 4000 km detour from Amsterdam! The setting, the views, the amazing rooms, the village itself, the location, the hospitality and company and above all, the delicious dinner and breakfast. It was perfect from start to finish. The room was very clean and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was delicious, fresh and homemade. We felt like home and we really enjoyed the hospitality. The location was also stunning surrounded by palm trees and just 1.5 drive from the desert.
