The rooms are so nice, clean and excellent value. The grounds are maintained beautifully and there is a lovely pool to rest by, perfect after climbing Volcan Concepcion. The staff are so helpful and friendly. WiFi is also perfect for a bit of remote working!

Facing the beachfront, Stella Mar Oceanfront Hotel offers 5-star accommodation in Popoyo and has a garden, terrace and bar. Each room is fitted with a balcony with sea views and free WiFi. The property was in a prime location, was spotlessly clean including the communal kitchen, had friendly staff and had very thoughtful touches in each of the rooms e.g. the brightness of the ceiling lights could be adjusted. Being able to walk to the water in seconds and then return to the hammock on the balcony was bliss. There’s a small, quiet bar open next door to watch the sunset and two great cafes for breakfast/lunch within walking distanced as well as a small shop.
