Fantastic experience at this place. The staff was truly amazing and helped us with all our needs. We did the safari, and it was organized perfectly, in all the details. The guide did his best to show us all the animals at the national park. Breakfast, fresh fruit and water was ready for us for the safari leaving at 4:30am. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and in particular the dhal curry and the chicken curry were delicious. Probably the best food we had in Sri Lanka. They took us for a quick tour to the lake at the sunset to see the bats waking up and leaving from the trees. Really cool experience. The room was great, and very clean. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with the nice garden in front of our room. Also the manager fixed a fair priced taxi for us with less than an hour notice. Wish I could have spend longer time there & highly recommend Village mango resort ....

The owners were amazing, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. They served various dishes of local food, but if you like other food, they can provide it too. They are also happy to take you on adventure journeys such as going to the jungle farm, having you participated in activities and a walk in the jungle for free. The environment around the rooms was so calm and there was a lot of nature around. Lots of tropical trees and birds. There was a nice lake at the property. There were lots of aquatic wildlife around it. If you are a nature lover, this is the place to stay. The place is close to “Yala national park” and you can get in the safari vehicle at the hotel itself so that you don’t have to take a separate ride to the park.
