Situated in Ishigaki Island, 400 metres from Fusaki Beach, Little Mermaid Hotel Ishigakijima features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. It is the cutest hotel. They have sweet little animals to welcome guests inside. The staff is amazing, especially Reika. She went out of her way to make us feel very welcome. The rooms are very much beach style with Japanese amenities including a heated bathroom floor and full size fridge. The beach is a beautiful 5 minute walk away. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower had amazing hot water with great pressure.

We got watermelon, the special cakes, and the grandma’s extremely delicious homemade somenchanpuru(the Okinawa’s typical food). All the equipments in the house are clean and good. The people there are so nice, I had best sleep there and a lot of good memories which makes me wanna come back next time. Thanks so much!

Absolutely everything I loved ceilings height - it’s unusual like in other Japanese hotels; 3 meters… we liked facility and it’s location. Staff was ok. Not friendly.

The BREAKFAST HOTEL PORTO Ishigakijima is situated in Ishigaki Island, 25 km from Tamatorizaki Observation Point and 3.3 km from Ishigaki Island Limestone Cave. Loved the "happy hour" every afternoon. They had options of juice for non-drinkers which was appreciated, on top of the regular coffee machines. Hotel was very conveniently located and we chose it on recommendation from our dive shop, Prime Scuba. Room was spacious and I was very grateful for the washing machine and drying rack. We did not require the daily room cleaning as we only stayed 2 nights, but we did see the cleaning staff everyday diligently working on other rooms. If you use the bus it's only a few minutes walk around the corner from the hotel, otherwise the hotel has parking available for your car. I do not know if there's an additional fee as my husband and I mainly took taxis. The front reception was always very helpful in helping us call for a taxi. Would highly recommend this hotel.
