Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town... Everything.. from the start. Check in. Room was just fab. Big and so comfortable. Food was great too. Staff very helpful too. Coco in the restaurant as well as Aoife. PJ and Sean in the bar. Can't fault any of them. Thank you. We will be back. X

Set within calm surroundings of lawns and gardens close to Roscommon Town Centre, this charming 18th-century manor house has a leisure centre, award-winning restaurant and free parking. Very friendly staff. Great spa-location, especially the sauna was very relaxing. Cute location with castlelike structures made us feel like being in a fairytale.

In Athlone's lively centre, this 4-star Sheraton Hotel has a 20-metre pool, a luxury spa, free internet and free parking. The room was great, a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was huge and very clean. We had a problem with the hot water and they fixed it very quickly even though it was new year's eve, so I really appreciated it. Breakfast was delicious and with a lot of options. Thank you for an amazing stay.

This 4-star hotel has a Championship golf course and is 5 miles from Athlone. All newly reformed rooms at the Glasson Lakehouse have free Wi-Fi, TVs and a room service menu. The style, design, and comfortable resort is first rate. We loved the different areas to relax or explore: beautiful golf course, outdoor living room styled bar, cute pub, plus gorgeous countryside walks.

Situated on the verge of Roscommon Town, this family-run hotel offers spacious, quality accommodation, free high-speed Wi-Fi and first class food. The food was incredible. You could tell they source from farmers that are local. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and charming. I got a new sport to get lost into. The room was gorgeous, it felt spacious, the room was clean and the staff kept it in top shape. O never had a want of towels, or anything. They were lovely.
