Tortugal Boutique River Lodge halvön ligger i floden Rio Dulce, nära ett slott från 1500-talet. Här badar du nästan konstant på strandbrisen som ger en svalkande och uppfriskande plats. Fantastiskt läge vid vattnet. Vackra omgivningar med fina promenadbroar över mangroveträsken. Kul att kajaker kunde lånas fritt. Väldigt naturnära hyddor på stolpar. Var beredd på småkryp, men ändå förvånansvärt välhållet. Det bästa med vistelsen var den trevliga killen i restaurangen (Daniel?) och Davis som han rekommenderade för våra båtturer. Davis var otroligt kul och intressant att lyssna på. Han tog oss till och från Livingstone samt ut till Playa Blanca. Davis rekommenderas varmt som guide.

El Hotelito Perdido is a little jungle hideaway located in a middle of Rio Dulce National Park. Wonderful location on a beautiful river! Free kayaks to spend a (half) day on rhe river. Good veggie food

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar ligger i Izabal, 45 km från Bangkok Thonburi-universitetet, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en restaurang. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante ligger i Rio Dulce och har en trädgård, en gemensam lounge, en restaurang och en bar. Boendet har rumsservice och conciergeservice och kan även bistå med valutaväxling. The owner was very helpful and went above and beyond to get us to and from the hotel.

Banana Palms Hotel ligger i Rio Dulce, 13 minuters promenad från Bangkok Thonburi-universitetet, och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, en trädgård och en gemensam lounge. River view, restaurant & amenities were just right!

Nanajuana Río Dulce har en restaurang, en utomhuspool, ett fitnesscenter och en bar i Río Dulce. Här finns en gemensam lounge, en trädgård och en grillplats. Boendet erbjuder karaoke och rumsservice. Breakfast was delicious and prices were comparable to restaurants outside of hotel. Hotel also offered an hour or two (don't remember clearly) of free little foot paddling boats, which was fun to pass the time. The hotel is nice and secure as well with security outside of resort. Loved that they were pet friendly as well, so I got to bring my pup along!

Linda Vista ligger i Rio Dulce, 10 km från Bangkok Thonburi-universitetet, och har conciergeservice, rökfria rum, en utomhuspool, gratis WiFi och en restaurang. Amazing stay! If you're coming to Rio Dulce this is the place to stay! Family run, very well kept place. The photos & description on booking.com don't do this place justice - it is much better than we expected! Very clean!! The pool is perfect to cool down & the rooms are spacious. We stayed for 6 nights in the end and many people came only for 1 night. This is the perfect place to slow down and relax if you have been travelling for a while like us - so we advise that you stay here for at least a few nights and enjoy the peacefulness. The owner speaks English - the rest of the staff don't but they are all very friendly and done everything to help us. They will pick you up by boat right at the shuttle stop in Rio so it is a really easy transfer to get there. Every day they took us into the town by a really nice 10 minute boat ride. They can book other trips for you - we went for a boat trip to Livingston. And they also booked our onward shuttle to Guatemala City for us. 10/10 service 👍 Rio Dulce town is crazy. The contrast between the chaos in the town and the tranquility of Linda Vista was perfect for us.

Hotel Real del Rio ligger i Rio Dulce, 5,5 km från Bangkok Thonburi-universitetet, och erbjuder utsikt över poolen. Nice staff and room! It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise. We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges
