They invited me to dine at their table and helped me plan out my days, including several breathtaking treks. It's rare to feel so at home when on the road, but the Black Mamba achieves this feat. And the breakfast, with ocean waves as a playlist, would be tough to top!

Situated in Ribeira Grande in the Santo Antao region, CASA MINGA & TATOL has a balcony. This farm stay offers a garden as well as a bar. The location was absolutely fantastic, in the middle of a stunning valley. Chilling on the sunbeds on the terrace was amazing, especially at night with the lights off. Only sounds of nature and stars. The rooms were simple but so clean and with everything you need, the staff was so sweet and caring, but never invasive. I had an incredible stay. It was hard to leave that place.
