Conveniently located in the Cabore district of Paraty, Pousada Aquino Mar is set 1.3 km from Jabaquara Beach, 1.9 km from Praia do Cais and 2 km from Pontal Beach. This pousada is 1.5 km from the old part of Paraty. For us, it was not a problem since we preferred to take a walk along the canal in the evenings to and from our favourite restaurants and pubs situated in the downtown area of Paraty. This is a very neat, new, well-maintained, and very clean pousada with a very welcoming staff. Air conditioning is available everywhere. Plugs are also available in the room (not near the bed, though!). The rooms are acceptable in size, with a large, comfortable double bed. Cleaning in the room and bathroom was done on a daily basis. Shower pressure was acceptable, and hot water was provided via an instant hot water electric generator (like we noticed in most of the pousadas in Brazil). Hot water at the sink is not available. We have asked for a room overlooking the rear courtyard since, on the roadside, the noise from the street would not be acceptable to us. Windows does not offer soundproofing in Brazil, as we have noticed in many pousadas; therefore, it would be good to carefully select your location. Flat 40" TV with already-available Netflix so that we could follow our favourite TV series. The Internet in the room on TV is via cable; therefore, everything played smoothly. Parking places are available in front of the pousada and away from city traffic. Security cameras monitor the property around the clock, and a pool inside Pousada's courtyard is also available and included in the price only for guests. A small but efficient fridge we had in the room. The property has its own back-up generator therefore in case of blackouts in the area everything is still runing smoothly autonomously. A big plus! In case you have forgotten to buy water or juices from outside, this pousada can sell you water and non-alcohol beverages.

Set in Paraty, less than 1 km from Jabaquara Beach, Pousada Villa Verano offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Great hotel, good location, delicious breakfast and lovely, helpful owners. Highly recommend.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of mountain, Villa Tiê Paraty is located in Paraty, 300 metres from Jabaquara Beach. I loved to stay there! Everything's clean, neat, perfect. Staff is polite and always ready to help.

Pousada Frezza Mergulho has a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Praia Vermelha. Good location on a small calm beach. Helpful staff. Modern A/C.

Situated in Abraão, 70 metres from Abraao Beach, Pousada Aquarela do Mar features air-conditioned accommodation and a garden. The accommodation offers room service and free WiFi. Beautiful and comfortable Pousada. Others are closer to the “port”, but this place is worth the walk. Very helpful, when we neeeded something, very nice staff. We had a wonderful stay!

Located within 6.4 km of Paraty Bus station and 6 km of Puppet Theatre, IN HOSPEDAGEM n45 provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Paraty. Great and quiet location, warm hospitality. You won't find anything better for this price

Situated in Abraão, 400 metres from Abraao Beach, Pousada Costa Verde features a garden and views of the mountain. We had a perfect experience. The hotel is located in a more quite and authentic part of the small village of Abrãao, while only being a few minute walking distant from the beach and all restaurants/bars. Our room was very clean and had all the needed equipment. The best part of our stay was the friendliness and hospitality of the owner Ricardo. He gave us good advice on everything hiking, beaches and gastronomy. Finally he even organized the shipping of a headphone I forgot in the room back to my flat in Rio, which I received the same day! I strongly recommend anyone who visits Ilha grande to stay in this wonderful place.

Set in Praia de Araçatiba, Mar da Lua provides an outdoor swimming pool. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge and a bar. The hosts were incredibly helpful and nice. They helped us book a boat trip, suggested great local things to eat and hiking trails to take to explore the island. The location is beautiful,peaceful and safe and a great combination of both jungle and beach. There are plenty of sunbeds, great views, chill music, a very cute cat named Lua and an overall idyllic atmosphere.

Boasting a shared lounge, terrace and views of mountain, Hospedagem Cantinho Da Vitoria is situated in Abraão, 300 metres from Abraao Beach. The owner was super nice and friendly lady, she did not speak English, but was always welcoming us very warm, was making fresh breakfast every morning, offering coffee and cookies in the afternoon. The room had A/C and the shower with hot water. Perfect!

Pousada Lilás is located on the beachfront in Angra dos Reis, 100 metres from Garatucaia and 1.4 km from Praia de Caetes.
