The bed was very comfortable with a big mosquito net, the WiFi was good, and buffet breakfast was nice and big, and I had lots of hot water for showers. Nicky at reception spoke very good English and was really helpful. The location is just a two minute walk from the main market, which is fun to visit. There are lots of taxis nearby to take you around Bujumbura. Highly recommend!

The personnel is very professional and does everything to accommodate guests. It's very well located, in a calm and safe neighborhood. Walking distance to the city centre and very close to the university. The rooms are very spacious and clean, there is airconditioning, electricity is semi-permanent, and if not, a generator is taking over. You can have a very good breakfast on your balcony, whenever you want. While the rooms are not the newest, they are clean, and the beds very comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel, and will come back here.

The Urban Lodge is one of the best place I stayed in (and I travel a lot)! The staff and the owner are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. I had a minor issue in my room and they fixed it right away. The rooms are simple but elegant. The bed is comfortable, the AC is really helping with the heat of Bujumbura, the shower is working well with hot water and good water pressure. You have a mosquito net in the room, but also on the door (so you're double protected and you can leave the door open at night if you don't like the AC). The breakfast is simple, but tasty and everything is very fresh. The rooms are spotless. You are within walking distance from many good restaurants, but you can also easily find a taxi in the street nearby. I have even recommended this place to colleagues coming to Bujumbura and they also loved it.
