Well set in the centre of Melbourne, Next Hotel Melbourne, Curio Collection by Hilton provides air-conditioned rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a restaurant. What sets this hotel apart from other 5 star luxury hotels we stayed at in Australia and elsewhere is their exceptional customer service. All delivered in a friendly, helpful way without being stuffy or obsequious. The hotel seems fairly new. It’s very modern in its design and is immaculate. We had a Deluxe King room, which was spacious, comfortable for a 6-night stay, and very well-designed. Two examples of how well thought out the guest rooms are: 1) blackout shades completely block out light because they sit in a metal frame; 2) besides a desk, closet and other cabinetry, rooms have a long, built-in bench that holds two open roller bags plus hang luggage. I also appreciated the Nespresso machine. (As an American, I was quite surprised that most of the other 5 star luxury hotels we stayed at during our trip to Australia only had instant coffee in the room.) We would absolutely stay here again if we were in Melbourne.

Melbourneen oli helppo ihastua. Joku voi sanoa, että kaupunki, jossa on raitiovaunuja ei ole huono kaupunki. Melbournessa on kaikkea mitä kaupunki voi olla: kadut täynnä etnisten ravintoloiden toinen toistaan vastustamattomampia tuoksuja, upea Queen Victoria Market, upeita fine dining paikkoja, sielukkaita asuinalueita, tunnelmaa, valtaisa kulttuuritarjonta. Melbournessa muistin, miten kaunis voi yöllinen kaupunki ollakaan. Silti aivan lähellä luontoa.
