Short drive to all the beautiful attractions but nice to come back to your own place after and relax.

Mossman Gorge B&B is a traditional bed and breakfast in a rainforest setting. Location, facilities, location. On first arrival it appears you are driving into a regular street on a regular road. The property is on the edge of the forest and you completely feel immersed in raintrees.

Noah Creek Eco Huts is a small family business that offer exclusive eco-friendly lodges and glamping accommodation in the heart of the Noah Creek Rainforest Reserve, the largest private World Heritage... We loved the location in the forest, although a little close to the main road, but that was not too bad at night when it was time to go to sleep. We stayed in the Ochre Hut and this was just fabulous, better than all expectations, loved it, had everything you need for the perfect glamping retreat. We also saw the resident Cassowary, she was very big and very lovely indeed. Sat around our own private fire every evening and at night we slept very very well, comfortable bed and all the night time forest calls were just magic.

Epiphyte B & B offers accommodation with a private balcony or patio, just 5 minutes’ drive from the beaches of Cow Bay. All accommodation offers outdoor furniture, a fan and an en suite bathroom. I liked that Epiphyte felt that it was part of the Daintree forest. It fitted into its surroundings and not the other way around. It is managed in an ecologically sound way but everything you wanted was there. It was peaceful and the tranquility of area seeps into your bones. I only wish I could have spent a morning relaxing in the hammock. Matt and his staff were very sociable and helpful. If ever I go back to the Daintree I would stay there again.

Eden Retreat was, to us, a little piece of paradise. The property, gardens and vista were beautiful. We felt completely removed from the rest of the world, and yet everything we wanted to see or do was less than half an hour away by car. Cooking was a breeze with the five-burner gas cooktop and oven, as was meal prep on the long wooden bench top. The pantry included staples such as coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, olive oil and a few sauces and spices. We very much appreciated the inclusion of a stove-top coffee maker too. We loved the view from the bathroom whilst standing under the rain shower each morning. It's possibly the nicest bathroom we've ever seen. The property was truly unique and the use of stone, timber and rock was beautifully and carefully done. Sitting outside first thing in the morning and in the late afternoon listening to the birdsong was delightful. We felt very privileged to be surrounded by the Daintree rainforest whilst looking out over the Coral Sea. A very special place indeed.
