I arrived early than check in time and was able to leave my bags there to enjoy my day without worries. The room was huge, like a house and I could feel myself at home. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like an angel. The staff was fantastic, friendly and very helpful. The farm, animals and plantation was a plus.

Graneroverde Resort is located in Qobayat, less than 20 minutes by foot from Fertile Valley. The resort has a restaurant and a bar, as well as a garden outside the chalets. Graneroverde exceeded our expectations, from the quiet location surrounded by mountains of lush green pine and oak forests, the friendly staff to the generous Lebanese breakfast and the owner who went out of his way to make our stay extra special. The Chalet was very comfortable and clean with a covered terrace open to the beautiful surrounding nature and cool weather. Romanos (the owner) introduced us to Elias (a passionate, expert local guide), who took us further up the Qobayat mountain (1700m) for a three hour hike amongst the Cedar, Juniper and Fir trees, a truly magical place. We would definitely come back to Al Qobayat and stay at Graneroverde. Maybe next time we will come in Autumn to experience the fall colours.
