Amrit Bhawan is a tranquil retreat with a large private garden and ghat by the Ganga, in the quiet, historic neighbourhood of Kankhal; perfect for quiet reflection. The 50 year old restored art deco building, retro-fitted with all modern amenities, including a riverfront massage room and a rooftop jacuzzi. 
With an intimate 8 guest room setup all our guests receive personalized attention and the size makes it great for small groups and family gatherings as well (we can accommodate up to 22 people). The property offers variety of bespoke experiences to explore Haridwar in a unique way, including a picnic hike to a neighbouring temple and walks through lesser-known neighbourhoods. The meals throughout the day are thoughtfully curated with a focus on sustainably sourced ingredients and fresh regional cuisine.

Apart from finding mention in the Mahabharata, Kanakhala is fabled to be the land where an angry Lord Shiva slayed Daksh to avenge the death of his wife, Sati.
