Only a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, K's House Takayama Oasis offers free WiFi throughout the property. We wanted to try a traditional japanese room... And it definitely didn't disappoint! We recommend it for anyone who wants to get a genuine feeling of just enjoying your stay. There was no TV in the room, but that just made it much better because we enjoyed our time in the evenings talking or reading. The staff was great (they were very nice) and the accommodation had a common area where we could drink tea or coffee and enjoy the room (which was beautiful). The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything we wanted to visit. We recommend it for sure!

Sakura Guest House is a 10-minute walk from Hida Takayama-mura Folk Village, and offers private and dormitory rooms with free Wi-Fi and shared bathrooms. Beautiful old house that gives you a chance to experience real Japan. The room was comfortable and all the shared amenities clean and nice. They also provide a free shuttle to the train station in the morning which was very helpful.

The hostel is just great. The staff is so welcoming and nice, we had nice chats. Also the other guests were nice. Everything is very clean and comfortable, it's directly at the river and the morning market. Only a 10 min walk from the station. It's very new.

Boasting spacious hot spring baths for a fee, Natural Onsen Hostel Hidamari no Yu is hostel accommodation located in Takayama. The place is really good, and the onsen is very nice, The staff is very nice and helpful, There is not a close bus station but they provide shuttle to takayama station, We really enjoyed our stay!
