Located in Mestre, a&o Hotel Venezia Mestre offers accommodation with free WiFi, just a 7-minute walk from the train station.

Guests can choose en suite rooms with a flat-screen TV, or beds in dormitories.

This hostel, though it might also be called a hotel, is extremely convenient and is worth every penny we paid. Great location, a few minutes walk from Mestre railway station from where there are trains to Venice every 5 or 10 minutes. We were in a family room which has a double bed and two bunk beds, with private bathroom. We arrived at about 23 hours and there were still shops and restaurants open around. Right behind the hostel, there is an Interspar hypermarket. The room was on the 5th floor, accessible through a lift. Breakfast was from 7-11, EUR 8 per person (all you can eat). Breakfast was OK, not the best in the world, but we ate at 9 a.m. and then we ate at 6 or 7 p.m.: in other words, you will not stay hungry. There is a lobby bar with snacks and drinks, the lobby is spacious. The price we paid for one night incl. breakfast was about EUR 116 for four people and we are totally satisfied with it.

Guests can choose between a bed in a dormitory, a private room or an apartment. Communal areas include a kitchen, a lounge area, a terrace with canal views and a laundry area. There is also a conference room.

The location was excellent for our trips to Lido, Murano, Burano and also all was reachable on foot in Venice. Very friendly and flexible stuff, the whole atmosphere was unique in the former convent. I loved how people came rogether in all the rooms of the convent: breakfast room, bar, the yards - local kids were playing soccer even outside. Supermarket 3 min walk, vaporerto sttion 3 min walk, still silent.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location for buses from St Marco airport and into town. Very clean and comfortable chalet with comfortable beds, basic but perfect for a base to see Venice. Friendly helpful staff with easy check in and help buying transport tickets. Restaurant sold good very reasonably priced food and drinks, it was much cheaper than Venice so worth eating there if on a budget. As a solo female traveller I felt extremely safe in this location. It’s a 5 minute walk to bus stop and a 10 minute ride over to Venice.

I only really saw the hostel room as I spent most of my time out, but the room was clean and air conditioned. Bunk beds were very solid and had a little privacy + individual light so it didn’t feel like being in a room of 9. The room had 2 showers and 1 toilet which were all clean and functional. It’s in a great location. Easy shuttle bus to/from the airport and a 2 minute walk to the train station which will take you into Venice in 10 mins for roughly €1.50

It was clearly recently renovated and the cleanest A&O hostel we have stayed at on our travels. It was a great location to visit Venice (right next to a quick bus ride over to the island) as well as many food options in walking distance. We loved the common areas (perfect for watching the Rugby World Cup!)- it felt really safe.
