Really nice hostel with good social areas. Literally a minutes walk from the centre of town and maybe 2 minutes away from the beach. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Air con in the rooms in the evening. Good kitchen, lots of space for your own food.

I really really recommend staying at hostel papagaio. It immediately felt like home, it is a very intimate hostel and the owners are just great hosts. It’s super clean and the common area feels like a living room, the kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is free coffee and if you are lucky snacks. I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t have to! Staff was very kind and helpful. They were quick to help with organizing a transfer back to Rio de Janeiro. The hostel is well located; it is close enough to the restaurants and (few) bars, but far enough to have peace and quiet.
