Set 34 km from Kaalvoet Vrou Statue, Sasi Africa Luxury Tented Bush Lodge offers accommodation with a patio, as well as an open-air bath and a bar. I loved just sitting on my deck of my glamping tent and listen to the wind in the trees and the birds. Tents were very comfortable, good bed, beautiful bathroom and I woke up on a cold morning where I made a fire and took a warm bath, a relaxing place to be. Staff is very kind. There’s one gamedrive per day included where nature is beautiful, there are no elephants but this means beautiful trees. You can book a drive to see rock art of earlier people. Food is very good, creative with great combinations of tastes and spices. We were sad to leave.

The fireplace inside was a place where all travellers got together in the evenings for chats and wine. In the morning we had freshly made breakfast and tips and routes explained by the hosts.

Rooms are 30 square metres. Located in Bergville, 38 km from Kaalvoet Vrou Statue, Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort features a tennis court and views of the garden. The view is stunning. It beats all the resorts in the area including the fancier ones. I've stayed at the cavern and Alpine heath before and I liked this one better because of the stunning view of the mountain and the river. Nothing beats that

This tent features a patio. Located on the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, Drakensberg Inkosana Lodge offers accommodation in the Champagne Valley. Very quiet and laid back. Very unique experience staying in one of the huts! Even during load shedding, the hut didn't get hot. Also, the owner and staff all displayed great hospitality! Please don't sleep on this place. I would recommend this place over big, fancy, expensive resorts.
