Freedom Camp Ella ligger i Ella, 3,6 km fra Demodara Nine Arch Bridge og 48 km fra Hakgala Botaniske Have. Der er have og bjergudsigt. Der er døgnåben reception og udendørs pejs. I stayed only overnight in Freedom, but I love the experience in the tent. Plus the view of the mountains. You will really enjoy it here if you like nature. Also near the train station, the whole family was really nice and helpful.

Sudha is the most hospitable host and it was a pleasure to stay here. The location is great—right next to the train station off the main tourist street. The route for Ella Rock starts here. And the way to the 9-arches bridge is also an easy walk from here. I also greatly appreciated the arrangement of a scooter and driver for a day excursion to Diyaluma. Also, the cooking class is highly recommended—and delicious! This has definitely been the loveliest stay in Sri Lanka so far!

The tent was unique, scenic view was stunning and the related house for baths/washroom was super nice too. The most amazing part was however the caretaker Damanyanthi’s incredible care for us. She cooked us the best meals we’ve had in our time in Sri Lanka - from coconut pancakes to the best curries, daal, veggie dishes. She was always so kind, supportive with suggestions and helpful for our trip. She replies within the minute(!!!) and is absolutely the best host. We cannot recommend this place and her care enough.

The host is super friendly and helpful. He gave his best to make sure we had a wonderful stay. We even got two extra blankets and a breakfast pack at 4:30am. He definitely kept his promise to be there 24 hours if we needed anything. The accommodation itself is great. Close to the city life but still in the middle of nature.
