A scenic river in front of my room. The safari trip organized by the hotel was excellent. Dinner and breakfast were very delicious. Breakfast was arranged to be taken at the safari park and it was a new experience. The owner of the hotel, Asanka, was very kind and gave his car for a very reasonable price to go to Mirissa city. I strongly recommend for safari. There are no drawbacks.

The Makulu camp is definetely a hidden gem! We had an extraordinary stay at their place - the staff was great, offerinh so many things to do snd helped us organizing everything regarding transport, the safari etc. The super romantic bonfire dinner in the middle of the djungle at night was a highlight we are lucky to have experienced.

A great area in front of the beautiful river. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

we loved everything about our stay. it was clean, had a big room, nice pool, great food and the check-in expierience was superb! we would have loved to stay a bit longer! they arranged a safari tour for us which was absolutely fantastic. the guide was great and had a lot of knowledge about the animals and where to find them. 10/10 would recommend!

An exceptional stay in a well kept and sprawling property with friendly and accommodating staff and affordable and comfortable lodging options. A unique glamping experience where we enjoyed watching monkey mischief while relaxing by the pool, strolled through the manicured grounds and ate delicious meals from a wide ranging menu. The informative staff at the front desk assisted us with booking our 5:30am, 3.5 hour safari tour that afforded us the opportunity to watch the sun rise over Udawalawe park to the soundtrack of bird song. Our excellent guide, Nishante, pointed out a ton of animals with his eagle eye, two species of which we also saw. Highly recommend Kottawatta Village to anyone looking for a unique experience, surrounded by beautiful nature with the possibility to upgrade to luxurious options if so desired. A truly memorable experience!

The tents were lovely and faces the river which was so nice and quiet. The food was great and very friendly staff. Fernando the head chef was very nice and made a special chicken curry for my husband.
