Well set in Porto, Ribeira Douro Hotel features 2-star accommodation close to Palacio da Bolsa and Ferreira Borges Market. Location is great. Breakfast and attention to special dietary needs is wonderful. Staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Through no fault of the property owner - currency exchange was the only reason for the lower rating relative to cost of the room.

Room was as per Booking.com photos with fantastic view from balcony. Staff were extremely helpful and check-in was faultless. A welcome drink at the rooftop bar was a great way to start. Close to seafront - max 3 minutes. Bridge to the other side of the river also very close. Restaurants on both sides of the river.

Located in the historical Ribeira area, downtown Porto, Porto River is an aparthotel that offers carefully decorated apartments just a 10-minute walk from the Port Wine Cellars across the Luis I... The staff were excellent! Really friendly and always happy to help. Had issues when leaving for the airport due to the marathon but a member of staff came with us and sorted it. Can’t rate them highly enough. Location superb also the view and the room. Mini bar very reasonably priced and re stocked daily. Breakfast also brilliant, good range of choice and very tasty
