Impressive property, great location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast with great variety of options, complimentary shuttle to and from downtown Funchal. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay!

Aastal 2018 renoveeritud neljatärnihotell Alto Lido asub Funchali peamises keskuses Lidos, 2,5 km kaugusel kesklinnast. Hotellil on sisebassein, köetav välibassein, laste bassein ja spaa. The hotel is excellent and good price! The breakfast is more than you could imagine or able to eat. Super clean and modern! Definitely recommend!

Sellel Vila Porto Mare kuurordi hulka kuuluval hotellil on neli restorani, kuus baari ja viis basseini. Hotellil Porto Mare on suur troopiline aed, mis asub Atlandi ookeani ääres. Great hotel, friendly staff and good food. Pools are are great and the gardens beautiful. Very nice experience provided.

Located in Funchal, within 600 metres of Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and 2.9 km of Formosa Beach, Vila Vicência provides accommodation with a bar and free WiFi. Location was great. Lots of restaurants nearby. Short walk to the ocean

See hotell asub rohelises aias ning hotellil on välibassein, kust avaneb vaade Funchali rannikukaljudele. The staff was really friendly, location is great, as hotel is right by the ocean. In the evening the sound od waves is the only thin one hears. Self service buffet breakfast was great, there is a lot of choises. When weather was good, you can eat on the terrace. And semi circular room gives beautiful views of the ocean and cliffs near Funchal. Would come again!

Located close to Funchal’s city centre, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Meliã Madeira Mare offers free WiFi, an indoor and outdoor pool and a spa. Considering it is a 5 star hotel, it is great value for money and the stay and room was five stars all the way. The service and staff are beyond my expectations. I had just completed my 8 day solo walk around the island and asked if it was possible to have a quieter room away from the road (I booked a lateral sea view room with a balcony, which is also excellent itself). Carla at reception was very helpful and found me another room, an unexpected upgrade, with a larger balcony and direct sea view. I also appreciated her sincere recommendation for dinner, specifically "no touristy restaurants please". I listened and had a seafood platter at PVP - Pão, Vinho e Petiscos, opposite the hotel, and it was the best I have had in a long time! My picnic (on the day I couldn't have breakfast), taxis and room changes were all efficiently organised and carried out. Unfortunately, while I was there, the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment due to damage caused by the bad weather, and I think part of the restaurant overlooking the pool was closed, as was the indoor pool. I imagine it would be an even better experience if these areas were not closed. However, we were given plenty of notice of the refurbishment before we checked in. As a substitute, the hotel did well to liaise with the neighbouring hotel to allow us to use their indoor pool. Overall a great stay and only regret is, I could not extend my stay as the hotel was fully booked on my last night in Funchal.

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient good location near the city center. The staff is very responsive and polite. A huge advantage of the hotel is that it has its own free underground parking for clients. There is quite a wide variety for breakfast, although not extremely large, but everything is very tasty and fresh. Coffee is from large coffee machines, but, as I understand it, from coffee beans, since coffee takes quite a long time to make, but it turns out very tasty, aromatic and excellent.

Hiljuti renoveeritud Allegro Madeira asub Lidos, vaid 5-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel Funchali ookeaniäärsest promenaadist. Personal oli väga sõbralik, toit maitsev ja tuba puhas.
