I had concerns before booking that it would feel dark and that the kitchen would not be functional however it had an extremely nice, fully functioning kitchen and it was much brighter than I could tell in the pictures. To tell the truth this home is perfect. Nothing felt cheap or worn, the beds were so comfortable and the furnishings felt high quality.

Stayokay Hostel Maastricht is situated on the banks of the Maas River, just a 5-minute walk from the city centre of Maastricht. The large terrace provides a view on the water. I think for the price you pay and for knowing it is a hostel, it was really good value for money. The rooms were tidy, neat and the bathroom is all you need. The area is AMAZING, really... it is BY the water, BY stadpark, I am not sure how you would get there other than by foot from the train station, but I luckily didn't have a lot of bags and it is not very far, but it is really walking distance to the "touristic" centre I would say, it takes you no time to get anywhere. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly, there was always someone at the reception and they were always friendly (and I know that working this type of job, you don't always FEEL friendly, but they did not show it, they were really nice).
