Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. I can't begin to describe how good my stay was here. The accommodations were amazing. The room was warm and cozy. The building was beautiful and looked new and clean but, had the charm of an old traditional Japanese home. I came to snowboard and they had a room to store and dry all my wet gear. They were able to handle shipping my snowboard to and from the airport with Yamato transport. There is a direct bus to and from Shiga Kogen every day as well. There is not an onsen on site but, you can buy tickets to various local onsens, all of which were spectacular. All onsens had an indoor and outdoor bath. Breakfast was served every morning and, it was great to eat and chat with other travelers. Truly, the best part about staying here was the owners themselves. Yoshi and Seong-mi were two of the kindest, most friendly people I've encountered on any of my trips across the world. They made my experience feel like I was staying with my brother and sister. In fact, the whole town of Yudanaka felt like home to me and, I know this is a place I will never forget for the rest of my life.

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. The ryokan is very well organized, everyone is focused on providing a superior customer experience. I selected Yorozuya because of its beautiful onsen but I came away with outstanding memories of the kind and helful staff, the amazing breakfast and dinner experience.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. I opted for the Kaiseki meal with my stay and it was largely very good. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was very central to the station and bus stops to attractions like the Monkey Park. Staff were helpful and attentive, and the outdoor hot spring bath was beautiful and well maintained. It was on the pricier side but the value was also high.

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... We had a fabulous two night stay at this brilliant ryokan. The room was large and spacious, in traditional Japanese style. We had dinner in the ryokan both nights and both meals were superb - some of the best experiences we had in Japan. Delicious food, beautifully presented in the lovely dining room and served by the amazing lady who works there (sorry, didn't find out her name). It's located in the lovely little town of Yudanaka and is an easy 15 minute walk from the railway station. Honestly, our stay here was probably the best in our 2 weeks in Japan - a fantastic experience !

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. I enjoyed everything the whole experience is amazing. starting with welcoming drink and sweet, and we pick a Yukata. They explain everything and guide us to our room. the staff were extraordinary, super friendly and polite They will go above and beyond to help you. we got upgrade to bigger room, the private hot spring bath was awesome with view on the river. I like the private dining room, they me our special dietary request, the food was so delicious, the chef prepare sushi / egg infront of you it was fun experience. The owner came by herself to greet us and to say goodbye when we were leaving. They even took us to snow monkey park and the station for free. Thank you to all staff I really appreciate all efforts to make my stay unforgettable. I am for sure coming back again.

A 3-minute walk from Yudanaka Station, Hotel Tsubakino features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths with a vista of snowy mountain peaks. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. The private bath in the room was incedible!

Boasting both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, Kamei-no-Yu is traditional accommodation surrounded by beautiful Japanese garden and ponds. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. The staff was just beyond wonderful.

Yudanaka Seifuso is located in the Yudanaka hot springs area, surrounded by scenic mountains. It features 3 hot spring baths and traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami-mat (woven-straw)... Very original Ryokan, nice and immersive experience in a typical room, sleeping on typical futon. Beautiful Onsen baths, very comfortable, clean and relaxing.

Located a 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Hotel Housei offers free WiFi access, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms. The unique hotel created special vacation atmosphere for us, revealing japanese authentic interior, resort feeling and welcoming hosts. The room was big and comfortable, futons were perfect for deep and long sleep. Onsen for guests helped relax and enjoy the stay.
