A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Really nice and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Generous breakfasts and dinners with daily changing menues - the wagyu meat was especially good! Private spa with finnish sauna, steam bath, onsen water, cold bath, outside area and even a massage seat and included drinks was bookable for a small fee. Free coffee and tea available in the lounge (tea also in the room). Convenient shuttle service to the train station.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... Great family-owned place in Yudanaka. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff. We especially liked the Kaiseki dinner and the private onsen. Free shuttle to the station and the monkey park.

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. Dinnner, room and the private sauna and onsen (yes, there were both in the room!) was fabulous. The room also came with a dining room where the chef came to prepare dinner..

A 3-minute walk from Yudanaka Station, Hotel Tsubakino features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths with a vista of snowy mountain peaks. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Japanese breakfast was amazing experience. Also loved the kimono and Japanese style room.

Boasting both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, Kamei-no-Yu is traditional accommodation surrounded by beautiful Japanese garden and ponds. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. The staff was just beyond wonderful.

Yudanaka Seifuso is located in the Yudanaka hot springs area, surrounded by scenic mountains. It features 3 hot spring baths and traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami-mat (woven-straw)... Very original Ryokan, nice and immersive experience in a typical room, sleeping on typical futon. Beautiful Onsen baths, very comfortable, clean and relaxing.

Located a 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Hotel Housei offers free WiFi access, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms. Their services are awesome. the breakfast the array of choices is dazzling. staying in hotel housei make me feel the authentic Japanese culture, heart warm services and good food.
