Residence Hotel Takayama Station is situated conveniently in the centre of Takayama, and offers a fitness centre, free WiFi and a terrace. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. Location is excellent: right outside of Takayama station! There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and you can walk to Takayama Old Town. They allowed us to use their natural hot spring at their other hotel, so you should definitely check it out! The room is big and beautiful with an excellent view. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Everything was nice and clean. The free drinks at the evening were just great (sake tasting!). The location is amazing.

The staffs over there were exceedingly nice and helpful, they helped me to recover the thing I left on the train. Also, everything is in pleasant walking distance.

The location is amazing - 2 minutes walking from the train station and 5-10 minutes walking from Takayama's main attractions. The hotel is really small and cozy, overlooking a pedestrian street. The staff was really nice, spoke good English and helped us book a restaurant for dinner when everything around seemed to be already booked. We stayed in Takayama during the spring festival and the town was really busy with tourist. Because of that the price seemed a little higher but the hotel really delivered. The room was big, comfortable, modern. The beds were great for resting. The bathroom was wooden (nice touch) really well decorated and sparkling clean. We had various amenities at our disposal and comfy pajamas. The breakfast was nice - western style although we were expecting to have something Japanese which was a bit disappointing but it was prepared in front of us and was tasty and fresh. It was rainy during our stay and the hotel supplied free umbrellas. Overall we are super happy with our stay here!

Ideally located in the Hida Takayama Onsen district of Takayama, Relax Hotel Takayama Station is set 2.3 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, 48 km from Gero Station and 700 metres from Fuji Folk... A great location, a short walk from both the train station and the old town. The room was a great size, well equiped, comfy beds and very clean. The staff were helpful and we enjoyed the complimentary sake.

Well situated in Takayama, Temple Hotel Takayama Zenkoji offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. This 4-star hotel offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space. The temple and rooms were beautiful, and Kaiji-san was a wonderful host, and made our stay very special and enjoyable, allowing us to discover even more elements of Japanese culture and Buddhism.

Featuring a bar, Mercure Hida Takayama is set in the centre of Takayama, 200 metres from Takayama Station. This hotel ticks all the boxes - easily 10/10. A short walk to the main station and a very central location. We were able to fortunately check in 1h early after a long and early journey without additional surcharge, unlike what is common with other hotels now. The yukata provided in room were very luxurious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious by Japanese standards. I will keep an eye out for this chain hotel’s other locations in the future.

Situated in the centre of Takayama, Chisun Grand Takayama is set 200 metres from Takayama Station and 2.3 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. The location couldn't be more perfect. Only 2-3 min from train station. How convenient. To the interesting part of Takayama it is like 10 min of easy walk. The room was the biggest during our stay in Japan and although we were outside most of the time it was great to have it and not deal with our luggage. I advise to rent a bike for free from the reception and take a ride thru the town - that was a highlight for us. There's also option to have breakfast but we didn't use that option.

Situated in the centre of Takayama, FAV HOTEL HIDATAKAYAMA West is set 600 metres from Takayama Station and 1.7 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. The location is just ok for me, not very far. I love the room, the price was affordable and reasonable. Will book again if I come again. The staff (is a guy) that serves me was nice, fluent in English. Great.
