I booked unexpectedly a night at the Verdi Hotel because of a last minute LH flight cancellation. From a nightmare at the airport this became one of my best experiences in Budapest. Midway between the airport and the center, the Verdi has the most friendly, helpful and welcoming staff I met in town. At the reception and bar alike, all were eager to make us feel comfortable. The room and the bathroom were huge, there was a kettle, tea, coffee and filtered water for free. Room was very quiet. Delicious and diverse choice of breakfast.

A little bit far from the city center but still a great location, right in front of the metro and tram station.

Great to relax throughout the day - Staff is friendly and speak English well, check-in and out were a matter of seconds - There is an elevator so no need to walk stairs hehe - The location is really good. You can use tram 4 or 6 to get to all the major tourist attractions (10-20mins depending on what you wanna see). 10min walk to the bus stop of the airport bus 100e. An Aldi is right around the corner if you want to buy food.
