This hotel is a great option if visiting Munich for a few days. It is easy to reach on the S-bahn railway (an S8 from the airport to Leuchtenbergring and then a change to go one stop on the S2, S4 or S6 to Berg am Laim station). The Berg am Laim railway station is just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. 10 minutes by train takes you into the city centre from the hotel. For those concerned about noise, this is one of the best sound proofed hotels I have ever stayed in. The doors are very sturdy and well sealed. There is a supermarket just across the road. The rooms and showers are excellent. The breakfast is varied with lots of options including hot meals. There is also a gym in the basement which was surprisingly well stocked. We were particularly impressed by the reception welcome when we arrived. It set the scene for a very successful stay. Thank you.

Set in Munich, 3.1 km from Bavarian National Museum, Holiday Inn Express Munich - City East has a number of amenities including a terrace, a shared lounge, a bar and free WiFi. Nice hotel, clean room and the location is fine. But the staff and the girl in the reception Nancy makes this 3 star hotel a 5 stars hotel! She solve a problem and she gave us a lot off information for the city! Thanks a lot Nancy!!!

I really liked how unique and chic this place was. I stayed here because I only needed a bed for a night while traveling in Europe, but if I were single and younger, I would come here very often because the place has an excellent atmosphere and lots of people to meet and hang out with while staying in Munich. The premises were super clean, the service quite good, and getting around it very intuitive. The rooms were spacious and safe, and the bathroom was very good (excellent water pressure). The location is excellent (near Munich East), and there are many amenities. It's a must if you are inclined to the hostel experience.
