This hotel was a 10+ for the location, staff and ambiance. Illiana was so helpful and sweet. She was so welcoming and kind to us and gave us info and a map, checked up with us and was the best! The room was nothing like j expected. It was way more comfortable and enjoyable. I loved that the place was quiet and relaxing while being close to the train station making it easy upon arrival and check out. However, it was a bit hard to find since it is kind of tucked behind the coffee shop.

The hotel is really convenient to the train station. The room we had was large. The bed was really comfortable. Liked having the kettle in the room to make a hot drink when first getting moving in the morning. The breakfast offered up a good variety of options.

Set in a turn-of-the-century villa, Hotel Alexandra is just a 10-minute walk from Locarno’s town centre. It offers Mediterranean cuisine. Alexandra Hotel offers a rich buffet breakfast daily. Amazing staff and very good value for money. Close to city center, quiet area, decent parking and very good price.

@ Home Hotel Locarno offers a central location in Locarno, 5 minutes' walk from Lake Maggiore, the Piazza Grande, and the Muralto Locarno train station. Everything was beyond exceptional! Very friendly staff and really good location. Free parking really helped! They even upgraded the room for us for free, best room in the hotel with a beautiful view of locarno!

Completely renovated in 2012 and 2013, Hotel Rio Muralto occupies a 19th-century villa in a central location opposite the Locarno Train Station and a 10-minute walk from Piazza Grande, and offers you... The gentleman working the check in, breakfast and everything else (I apologize but I can't remember his name) was FABULOUS and so helpful and kind! Give that man a raise!!!

Located in Muralto, Miralago Locarno Easy Rooms is just 50 metres from the promenade on Lake Maggiore, 500 metres from Locarno's centre and 200 metres from the harbour. It offers free Wi-Fi. Most friendly experience with the staff at the reception. Excellent price/value proposition. Well located near the rail way station and the city center.

I've stayed twice, once as a solo traveler and once with my sister, visiting me from the USA. The hotel is in an amazing location, with the waterfront on one side and a shortcut to the train station on the other. Restaurants, coffee shops and gelato are just next door. The rooms are minimalist. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is great, and I love that cappuccino, hot chocolate and vending machines are available at all times on the second floor. The staff was fantastic, each time.
