I totally forgot about the breakfast. Location was very good for the Stiff Little Fingers concert at The Observatory at Harbor and MacArthur. Clean - I was concerned about our terrible, sad homeless problem, but the area seemed fine with no intimidating people. I had a very nice stay, and the concert was fantastic. Thank you.

Lots of noise from other rooms all night until 7:00am.
Lots of noise from other rooms all night until 7:00am. Rattling plumbing pipes all night. Excessively loud plumbing noise when adjacent rooms ran water which went on all night long. There was a TV in the room but no TV service. The room had two beds, a frig, a microwave, and one chair. No desk or anything else. I have never seen a room with such spartan furnishings. It was a shock.

Outdated. Carpets need to go! King room big, nice TV, bed comfortable. Shower warm and good water pressure. Room not a place to hang out in but good if you just need to get a good nights sleep. Very reasonable price for no frills.

This hotel 'Best Western Plus Newport Mesa Inn' is one if...
This hotel 'Best Western Plus Newport Mesa Inn' is one if not the worst hotel among hundreds of hotels I stayed in the past few years. I'll add some facts here and try to be as objective as possible: Starting with the value for money, it's ridiculous how much expensive this is vs. the quality of this hotel. The carpets are really old and to ensure they can clean them and they're that old, they put a lot of chemicals, for those with some kind of allergy, you can't sleep in the rooms, if you don't have allergy, there is a chance you'll get one if you spend maybe more than a night over there. I booked two connecting rooms and lights were really bad. the lights are sensor operated so you can't keep the lights on, it will be switched off instantly, you can't leave any small lights on during the night and it will be complete blackout. The bathrooms unfortunately stinks, the smell is very obvious and I don't recommend any showers in there, I personally couldn't shower there. I asked for refund but I didn't get it so make sure that you have refundable term there if you really have to book in this motel. Unprofessional staff, the kind of staff that give you the message 'I don't care' which is okay for a motel staff but for a multi hundred dollar night stay, I don't think it's right. Very small windows and absolutely no air circulation, I had to leave the room few times just to have some fresh air. Overall, it was really bad experience. my son got sick and I strongly advise Booking.com to force all hotels to put in some realistic pictures that reflects reality.

Room felt dirty.
Room felt dirty. I wanted to take a bath but tub was NASTY and didn't have a stopper if I was dumb enough to drop my derriere on the tub floor.
Asked for washcloths multiple times but there were none available.
No phone in room.
Extremely noisy with freeway traffic.
No coffee in room and was told very snidely it's not available in lobby until 6am.
No outlets to plug in electronics.
Overall horrible experience - worst La Quinta I've ever stayed at.

Upon my arrival I was asked for a deposit of $50,00 per night totalizing $300,00. I was told this would be refunded to my account within 3-5 working days. That did not happen.
I got in touch with Hilton through their Live chat and opened a case with them and was told, once again, to wait 3-5 working days. Once again never got even an email from them

Close to the beach if you're happy to take a lyft!
Close to the beach if you're happy to take a lyft! However, too far to walk, and there's no bus that takes you straight there.
Walkable to restaurants and just to explore! Loved it honestly! Broken Egg Cafe had the best mimosa I had EVER had!
The location was VERY close to the beach within minutes you arrive. The beds were super comfortable. I loved the fact that they have shampoo conditioner and body wash in the shower, and it wasn’t cheap it was Dove. The staff was very quick to bring extra towels and toiletries when we called. The COFFEE in the Sunset Grille is literally amazing and so smooth, you gotta try it. I would definitely stay here again. I didn’t take pictures but the ones you see sum it up.
Convenient location in Costa Mesa near the freeway. It has a nice "tropical" ambiance. I like the hard floors and overall it was pretty comfortable. This motel is a great value. There is an In-n-Out and a gas station with convenience store adjacent, and great restaurants a short drive away at Harbor and Adams. Despite the negatives below I would stay there again.
The staff, value & location was excellent. It's not the prettiest room but was adequate for the price. One of the best features of the room I stayed in was just how nice the bathroom was; it had a very nicely-tiled walk in shower (for an NBA athlete or super high shower head) and a kind of bathroom that one would find at a much higher end hotel!
as usual one of the best places i stay in whenever i reach costa mesa
location is great
quite motel
and i got complimentary upgrade from 1 double bed to 2 double beds room.
Jamal the manager was great supportive even i had door lock problem he offered to change my room which was not necessary as i was leaving in 2 nights
It was affordable, clean and it smelled right. Some older hotels have smells that linger and this place was nice. The people working there were exceptionally friendly and were quick to move my room close to my daughters so we could be together. Close to everything we needed, great restaurants nearby walking distance.
The hotel was nicely updated and the staff was 100% amazing. They even helped me with something we left behind. The breakfast was great and had more choices than expected. We appreciated how close it was to the John Wayne International Airport and was walking distance to a fantastic Mexican restaurant.
IT was really comfortable stay we like the staff ,location .All the boys at front desk very helpful not only for stay they will tell you about the city as well where you can go or what will be the cheaper way do the things around .
Fantastic service and beautiful amenities. Extremely clean and and excellent room. Best dog friendly hotel hands down!! Very peaceful and serene. The grounds were immaculate and very well maintained.
One of the better motel-6 hotels we stayed in (and we stayed in quite a few). Super friendly and helpful staff, we got a free upgrade to king bed. Room clean and comfortable.
Large room, good beds
Large swimming pool with plenty pool beds (also in cabana's).
Good breakfast
Hotel is 15 minute drive from Newport Beach harbor (whale watching tour)
I like that is it fairly close to everything i wanted to visit in Costa Mesa.
I loved their coffee machine, and the option to grab something for breakfast.
