I was having trouble with my arthritic knees and was given an accessible friendly room which was perfect. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning excellent and best of all I had some English channels on the tv. After traveling for months in SE Asia, that was truly a bonus! There was a nearby mall with food options & a grocery store. Staff was very friendly and professional. Wish I had stayed longer.

We liked and enjoyed much the Underground River tour with very unique features. It's 1 and a half hour travel from downtown to Sabang Port. We tried also the exotic food, the "Tamilok", eaten raw dipped in vinegar. It tastes like oyster.
We also availed of the half day city tour. It's also an educational tour learning the historical background of the City.
We Bona's Changlao, serving Vietnamese food.
We had dinner at Kinabuchs Grill and Bar which accepts debit or card payment.
We also tried Gelateria ice cream in Bekiko. Also an Italian restobar and coffee shop.
Palawan is producer of cashew. You can buy cashew. Nuts in supermarkets and souvenir shops.
Mode of transportation in downtown area tricycle and jeepney. For long distance trip, van or car for rent are available.
I was not able other tourist destinations in the city had very short stay in the city.

We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan.
We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan. Started in El Nido then went to Port Barton, then to Sabang, then to Puerto Princesa. Puerto Princesa is the main town for everything (like hospitals and banks and malls). Good foods in El Nido and plenty of island hopping adventures but also quite expensive and touristy (ie. taking advantage of the foreigners). Each place had some interesting adventures. I would say that we overstayed at each place except Sabang where we only stayed 2 nights.

I felt slightly unsafe as a female traveler here, there were not many likeminded travelers around me, it felt very congested and the locals here could not communicate easily with me as an english speaker. I didnt find people to be very friendly here. The beaches/bays here were not very beautiful and there were not many attractions or places to eat good food. Don't recommend staying here as a western traveler if you have the choice of going straight to Port Barton or El Nido (both of which are INCREDIBLE) :)

Like other cities in the PHL, Puerto Princesa has changed a lot over the past 30 years. More people, more vehicles, more shops, more resorts. One thing that has not changed YET is the respectfulness and courteousness of the local folks.
The highlight of Coron is its many options on island hopping tours.
The highlight of Busuanga is the Calauit Island -- a mini-Kenyan or Tanzanian Safari. The giraffe feeding event in Calauit is more enjoyable than in any giraffe safari in the world due to the sheer number of giraffe that goes to the feeding area.
The highlight of El Nido is its lovely high end resort and the twin lakes tour.
The highlight of Puerto Princesa is the Underground Cave.
San Vicente is now being developed as another option. Its beach is very long so this looks promising.
Having experienced the Palawan highlights, I am content with the peace and quiet at the Dolce Vita Hotel. Important for me is Dolce Vita's clean and deep swimming pool.

We stayed at the Astoria.
We stayed at the Astoria. The one thing that surprised me was they didn't take me ATM cards. I did have credit cards available and my traveling companion was local so I was able to work around it. The bed was a little firm, other than that, the room was perfect. They said the room didn't have a view, but the place is so pretty, the view of the grounds was still magnificent. Especially with the ocean peaking around the next building. The nightly show at dinner was great and the staff was sooooooo nice. We arranged a few tours and saw things like Port Barton and the Underground River. The island is beautiful and I would definitely go back.

The breakfast was really well prepared..much better than other breakfast included. The staff was awsome and in our first hour we found a tricycle driver that was more than helpful in showing us everything that Puerto Princesa had to offer. That then became our main mode of transportation,,the experience of seeing through a local was fantastic, and he also bragged about the hotel to us..Our only regret was not scheduling more time to visit the area,,,meaning we will be returning..Look for tricycle driver Ryan Rosales...highly recomended......
First time in Puerto Princesa and we had a great week and great experience with the staff,we had airport transfer with kuya Caloy,a nice guy very helpful and Ann she always made our room clean and fresh and ,Ms Jinky who help us with a smile all the inquiries & needs about Puerto Princesa ,,shes amazing very kind and made us easy for our stay & explore Puerto and she arranged for our transfer to other place of Palawan,, salute , bravo to ate Jinky & family you deserved a bonus 😃 🙂
The property had everything we needed and the staff was attentive to our needs. My husband and I didn’t want to splurge on a stay in Puerto Princesa since we were mostly away doing trips and heading to El Nido after a couple days. If you need a nice clean budget stay, Green Palace is it and it’s also close to places to eat. I highly recommend.
Although a little far away from the town of Puerto Princesa, the hotel is located just at the beach (beach not so good for swimming). The scenic views afforded are great. The rooms were well done up, clean and large enough. Very courteous and helpful staff. The pool, restaurant and the surrounding areas are done up very well and neat.
The hotel is really cheap and clean! Stuff is really friendly and helpful. Also there is hot and cold drinkable water, cups and glasses at each floor.
Downstairs by the reception is small fridge that you can use. Each room have balcony that have space to hang wet clothes.
One of the best experience I had in Palawan!
Location is very close to the airport, we ask hotel to arrange airport pick up for us. And only 5 mins walk to the main street, shops and restaurants around. Very convenience. And they also help us to book for the next day's van to El Nido. Nice place to stay when you have a short stay in Puerto Princesa.
It was a clean and comfy place to stay one night . It has air conditioners and good breakfast included . We paid for a transfer from our hotel to port Barton and they offered us a free bike to have a ride in puerto princesa while we wait for the transfer.
Very cute and quaint hotel. Spotlessly clean. I 💗 the location. Situated in a very quiet area but close and walking distance to everything (Baywalk, SM, 7-11, public market, Mercury, etc). If in Puerto Princesa, this is the place to stay.
La Casa Aitor is a great hotel, perfectly managed.
The owners are so professional and always there for helping.
Is definitely the best quality value in Palawan.
The food at the restaurant is delicious.
I highly recommend it.
Great hotel, right next to a massage parlour, coffee shop and a club. All the staff are awesome, Julius the security guard out the front is a legend. Will be back if in Puerto Princesa again.
A cozy, safe, clean, affordable family run boutique hotel, in a great location, with all the amenities needed, a lovely addition to Puerto Princesa. Highly recommended ❤️😊.
A nice place to stay for just 1 night with a great shower. Especially if you have to fly out the next day. Hotel offers airport shuttle. It's down town Puerto Princesa.
A quiet place to stay in Puerto Princesa. The rooms and breakfast were great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. A nice place to stop for a short while.
The hotel is a wonderful little village in a remote area of Palawan. The environment at the beach was very nice and the staff very friendly and efficient.
