We had an incredible stay with Fredy, Esther and Lia. They are such soul warming hosts and meeting them was the highlight of our third day of the Salkantay Trek. The coffee/avo/banana plantation tour was extremely fun, and the cooked meals we had were delicious! Rooms were also clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we had hot showers! Highly recommended to anyone staying in Lucmabamba.

We arrived after a 20km hike and were so tired. Wilder greeted us with such kindness and made himself very available and helpful. He made everything easy for us by offering us tea, helping us order food and organising our taxi for the thermal baths in Cocalmayo. The lodge is beautiful and peaceful. I've traveled a lot and this was my favourite accomodation so far: wish I could give 11/10 ! In the morning after breafkast we hung out in the hammacks and read to the sound of the river. I even saw two baby condors and a hummingbird in this magical place.
