Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sporting events. Dining excellent and service impeccable at new Queens restaurant at 1 Queen Street. Location of accommodation excellent and walking to appointment within range, however to get anywhere else, using Uber is a great way to travel given the traffic woes and changes in traffic flow layout since last visiting Auckland.

We were in Auckland for our daughter's Master's Graduation Ceremony so didn't really explore Auckland too much on this visit.
However the harbour area is pleasant for a walk and the new Commercial Bay Shopping Centre is of a very high standard and looks really impressive. There are many eateries in there, in addition to many high end shops.

Travel from airport is awful.
Travel from airport is awful. It has never been brilliant but is certainly much worse. Taxi drivers were just not interested in taking us to Pakuranga. This is 3rd world level.
Down town Auckland is slowly getting back on its feet. It should develop it uniqueness.

Make the effort and walk down to the Viaduct area..this place is pumping...loads of choices for food and drink..you can sit and people watch, admire the beautiful yachts, enjoy the friendly atmosphere...awesome buzzy vibe. If you don't feel like walking back to your hotel? there are plenty of taxis around....another tip, if you aren't going far, ask the taxi driver to take you back to your hotel for XXXX (whatever you feel like offering)..most of them will probably happily oblige to have some fare is better than no fare! There are so many road works in Auckland that paying full fare by taxis can be expensive, always try and barter the price before you get in.
This accommodation provides everything that one might need without costing huge amounts. Breakfast was included in the room price and we were astonished at the extent of options available. The staff were lovely, nothing was too much problem, and we were able to park our car for the duration of our stay. Of course there was an extra for this but it was very reasonable given that we were needing parking in Auckland City! The hotel was walking distance to Queen Street, the Viaduct, the casino, Spark Arena. Perfect for us!
M Social is perfectly located in Auckland’s CBD. It is very easy to walk around the downtown area. The hotel is located almost across the street from the main ferry terminal so it is very easy to travel to other parts of Auckland and surrounding areas. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. each room has a view of the Auckland harbour. There are many great restaurants within easy walking distance of M Social.
Excellent budget accomodation close to the airport. Perfect for arriving late at night from overseas and needing to catch an onward domestic flight the next day. They have a shuttle service to and from the airport and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good communication via email prior to staying. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel if you need to overnight near the airport. Thanks Tan & Daniel.
Good central location near City Works Depot. Was great to have a car park - a rare treat in Auckland CBD! We booked last minute for our work conference as our other accommodation fell through, and the hosts had a quick response and were easy to deal with. The place was spacious, clean and tidy. We were disappointed that we couldn't stay longer to really enjoy the space. Very happy with our stay.
Travelling for buisness this was a great location to Fonterra, Microsoft etc. Carpark right next door although didn't use. Countdown Metro just out the door and an amazing cafe William Cafe for great service, coffee and breakfast 3 minute walk away. Short walk to Viaduct to get you right in the heart of the action. Room warm and quiet compared to other city Hotels.
The room was very comfortable. The location was good, close to city bus stops and two hop on hop off bus stops. The restaurant on the property was good, we had dinner there twice during our stay. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Local tour companies would pick us up at our hotel because of its nearness to downtown, as did the airport shuttle.
This was the perfect hotel for an overnight after our international flight. Very clean, easy to get to from the airport and the restaurant/bar was very good. We were able to get well rested before beginning our travels in New Zealand. The staff were all very kind and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Thank you
The hotel is well-located near Auckland's city centre, viaduct and universities.
The room was spacious with a large bed, big self-service kitchen and a balcony with good view.
I particularly liked the washing/dryer combination in the unit.
Staff was very helpful when there was a problem with the automatic credit card payment.
The hotel was great. It was a city centre location so there was lots nearby. Reception were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good. The size of the rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. I had a good night's sleep and the view of Auckland from my room was great too. The shower facility was also good.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The room was a great size with fantastic city views over Auckland CBD. The bed and pillows were so comfy and the bathroom was great. The location is 5-10 minutes walk to the sky tower and good restaurants.
We stayed at the Sudima before our flight. They had a good restaurant. The room was very comfortable. The parking was free and an there is an airport shuttle for a small cost, but allow extra time as it does go to other hotels on the way to and from the airport
The location was great! Very convenient and close to all the amenities. There's a Metro Countdown and a very nice cafe right underneath the hotel. The beds are comfy and the staff are very helpful. Would recommend it to whoever wants to explore Auckland CBD.
The lock box was well located. Comfortable stay and location is great, close to airport. 30 min drive to Auckland CBD during off peak timings. Getting in & out of the motorway is very easy. Wifi worked well. Overall, a good experience.
Convenient location near the airport. McDonalds three doors down made getting a quick breakfast convenient before hitting the road. We stayed in the large two bedroom unit. Clean and simple. Parking is easy and secure.
For a budget central city hotel in Queen Street I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and had all the usual amenities. Very helpful staff with sorting taxis to airport for our group at a good price.
This is a good location providing airport transport for when you have to stay overnight in Auckland. A good tidy budget transit hotel. There were rooms with King size beds which was nice to have this option.
Good range of facilities, not too far from the airport - which was useful for us to catch an international flight in the morning and only averagely expensive compared to other Auckland hotels.
The hotel is new, clean and tastefully decorated. It is located with easy access to the Auckland airport and enroute to Hamilton. Breakfast good value, service staff courteous and efficient.
