Beautiful location, building etc. Host was lovely and recommended that we go to Slieve League, where to go to eat in town, directions to get there and times that would be best. Very well thought out accommodation. Everything on hand if needed.

Donegal is a beautiful area, rugged and less crowded in April. Would highly recommend this area, particularly to people who like walking/hiking opportunities. Amazing little town, nestled in the mountains on the banks of a v fast flowing river. Staff were ever so helpful, nothing was a problem. It was a v pleasant surprise to have access to the swimming pool next door. The castle across the street is v interesting and free to enter. We loved energy thing about this hotel and the live traditional music at night made for a very relaxing stay. Definitely recommend a visit😁

North west Donegal has spectacular beaches without any doubt. There are far too many houses built on land that has sea views, this has to be ignored by any visitors. The Fanad peninsula was the best place, not as developed.

Donegal is one of the loveliest parts of Ireland and always worth a visit, from the wild countryside to Errigal mountain and the rugged coastline. The people are very friendly and welcoming. This was a short visit, but I have been before and stayed longer.

O' Donnell castle or Donegal castle was the highlight of our stay, plus a visit to Slieve League, as it was raining so much we just travelled around in the care, taking in the views as we could. Donegal is a great County to visit but you need the sunshine to see it at its best. If you visit Ireland, Donegal is a must place to go. Tara Hotel in Killybegs is the place to have your meals, great food great staff.GerardIreland

Our host, Paul, met us on arrival and was kind, considerate and helpful both before and during our stay. Very clean room, comfortable beds and lovely shower. Fridge came in very handy to keep lunch in (there's a spa shop around the corner that has a deli counter). There is some traffic noise, mainly in the day time, which is to be expected, being right on the Diamond, but it didn't bother us. Room had a full walk-in cupboard. Kitchen available at night. Very good breakfast. Very clean. Friendly owners. Dinner in Castle Pub very nice. Drive route R254 - very pretty.

We picked up the key at the local SPAR supermarket a few metres from Donegal House. I would highly recommend Donegal House for comfortable accommodation in a very central location.
