Walk along the treetops at Avondale house with its viewing tower, well worth doing. Drooped into Wicklow historic jail tour. Visited the gardens at mount ushers - stunning. Saturday morning farmers market at kilruddery house followed by lunch at Johnnie foxes pub. An evening meal at Christy’s on arklow Main Street.

Arkow had enough things to do.

Arkow had enough things to do. My son went to the leisure complex cinema etc. Moneylands is central with easy access to all surrounding towns and villages etc. Perfect location. About a 20 minute drive was wicklow jail....brilliant time and our 2nd visit but the VR experience there is a must. 30 to 40 minutes drive to wexford town and its lovely. Water front and harbour. Lots of shops and nick nack shops. Lovely day out. Weather is a game changer if its good weather. Glen deloch is a good place to visit if the weather is good. We ate in gorey and the broken chair at moneylands farm.....perfect breakfast. We also made breakfast in our accommodation. Great facilities. There's nothing I'd avoid on my next visit. I can't wait to go back.

The people were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Where we ate. Arklow itself was easy to navigate. We went on a trip into the surrounding countryside and found some spectacularly beautiful valleys. The beach we visited was undeveloped and the scenery fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay, and would return in a heartbeat.

This is a lovely place in a beautiful location and the external appearance of the pod belied the modern interior. However the Pod designed by a tall man- everything was difficult or impossible to reach, including the bed! The additional of a small step ladder or steps of some some kind would help.

I am Irish..but had never been to Arklow before.

I am Irish..but had never been to Arklow before. A lovely little coastal town with a proud industrial heritage. Like many Irish towns , it has suffered economically…with plenty of vacant shops etc. Hopefully, the facility to work from home will mean that the town becomes less of a commuter satellite town and more the vibrant community that it can and should be. Beautiful location…between the mountains and the sea. Very close to the amazing beach at Brittas Bay. To crown it all, during our stay, the Sunny South East lived up to its name. I would be happy to revisit!

As soon as we arrived liz the receptionist made us feel so welcome. We decided to have some lunch and a cheeky drink . According to my husband the Guinness was ‘ grand ‘ . The room was beautiful, clean with a balcony. The view was breathtaking! The bathroom was clean and nicely decorated. Loads of hot water and towels . We booked dinner and both had the hake , so fresh . Our waitress Marsha was friendly and attentive. There was live music which was pretty good . We slept great , no noise . Breakfast was buffet style, with a choice on the menu too. We had the full Irish and walked the beautiful park nearby . Highly recommend!

When we arrived our room was too small and unfortunatly had no more rooms to put us in, however the manager did come and apologise he was really lovely about it and compensated us. All the staff could not do enough for you from cleaners to manager of the hotel. I would still highly recommend the Arklow Bay kids had a ball and it was spotless. Great food and good atmosphere around. They really looked after us so we were not disappointed. Kids loved the Pool, nature walk and playground nearby. 10 out of 10 from us.

We stayed at the lodge which was very comfortable. I loved the location and peace and tranquility it offered at the back side of the building looking across the brook to the farm field. There is a beautiful garden at the end of the building looking towards the bridge. This area also has outdoor dining though not during the week. Also the flowers at the hotel were exquisite. Compliments to the gardener. Dinner and breakfast were quite good.

Staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived. They even offered to do some ironing while they cleaned our apartment. It was nice and quiet throughout the day and evening. We left Early in the morning and the locked gates were opened for us. This was a lot earlier than usual. It was a lovely place to stay and there were nice views of the Arklow coast. Will definitely go again and recommend to.other travellers.

Fantastic location, convenient distance from Arklow as well as freeway access. The clothes washer in the kitchen was a huge convenience for a long trip. The grounds are beautiful, and the restaurant on the property is delicious. Everyone was friendly and accomodating. You won't find a better value for a family vacation.

Great staff providing a warm welcome & friendly hospitality throughout my stay. Great location with both Wicklow & arklow within a short drive. Quick check in process. Nice food and service in the restaurant. For any golfers the hotel is directly accessible to the local golf club (literally a minutes walk across the road).

Friendliness of the hostess first with a welcoming smile, followed by the amazing view as you wake up in the morning. We have toured Ireland for a week and a half staying in hotels and B&B’s, and this by far blows everything out of the water. It won’t disappoint!!

Location was great, close enough to drive into town for groceries and meals. The view from the "villas" cannot be beat. The onsite restaurant is fantastic, when it's open. A true gem considering the price.
