One of the best mattresses I have slept on lately. Also, it's in a great neighborhood—possibly the best we visited in Zagreb. The city center is about 10-15 minutes away by Uber, but very easily reachable. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Zagreb and choose not to stay in the city center.

Built around two medieval settlements with the Upper Town (Gornji Grad) being its core, the city skilfully combines modern attractions with well-established favourites. Start your day at the Museum of Contemporary Art, then have a stop at the Zagreb Cathedral or make a wish at the Old Town Gate. The locals say it will be granted!

Zagreb is a vibrant blend of history, culture, and modernity. Nestled between the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain and the banks of the Sava River, Zagreb offers a picturesque setting. Its historic Upper Town (Gornji Grad) is characterized by cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and landmarks such as St. Mark's Church and the Lotrščak Tower. The Lower Town (Donji Grad) contrasts with a more modern atmosphere, featuring elegant 19th-century buildings, lively squares like Ban Jelačić Square, and cultural institutions like the Croatian National Theatre. Zagreb is known for its green spaces, with parks and gardens providing peaceful retreats amidst the urban bustle. The city also boasts a rich cultural scene, with museums, galleries, theaters, and a thriving café culture. Initially finding our way to the Dolac market (it was towards the end of the day so fruit and vegetables were cheaper) was via a bus and then a tram (best to travel with local currency in coins as public transport is very cheap), however as we explored the public transport network via the tram route it was a faster way to travel into and out of the city from where we stayed at m-blok. Catching a bus and tram back to the city to hire a car was seamless on our last day. Getting to and from places is very easy once you know where you're going so a car is unnecessary in Zagreb. You can buy bus/tram tickets at Tsik kiosks located close to public transport or on the bus/tram. Note that most coffee cafe's only sell coffee and not food. We enjoyed food from Pekara Dubravica 'home of the finest snacks'. They have a great chicken salad, three different types of burek and more. We ate at II Secondo (reasonable price and big serves), Burger Bar and Burger and Beer Bar Mrav (cheaper eats and big serves).

If you wanna be welcome ,don't come.
If you wanna be welcome ,don't come. I am saying this as a homegrown Zagrebian. I always feel unwelcomed, and I was born here :)
If you're passing through, by all means.
Foreigners generally like Zagreb, but if you're up for a good time, fun, music, company, just don't come. It's not worth the trip and it's not worth your money. Remember this capital is not treating it's own people well.
Go somewhere where the citizens are respected and foreigners are warmly welcome. Y'all have great stayings and safe journeys!

Zagreb is a great city ,transport very good easy to use and every kiosk sells trams tickets 56cents for 30 mins accross town and can be bought in various mins including a day ticket to travel from early morning to till night . there is a city bus that takes you to the airport for 1.12 euros you get a tram walk a few mins and pick up a bus so can be done cheaply, there is an 8 euro bus journey to/from the bus station and then a tram from there to centar and you know you have arrived as its like a big square with shops and resturants around it and on the right a of square the tourist office. A lot of the Churchs/Cathederal and palaces were not open to the public since the earthquake in 2020 still under repair as are a lot of buildings with minor damages. Lots of resturants to eat every where reasonably priced, the best shopping was in the area around the main train station there is an underground shopping mall and lots to choose from down there. .

The city is an easy city to travel around especially if you are central. Transport is good. The down side is the airport bagage claim, the airport lack of announcements for delayed flights and the fact that places of interest are closed on Easter and Easter Monday.

We only stayed in the old city and it was beautiful.
We only stayed in the old city and it was beautiful. So many green spaces, parks ,statues, sculptures and gorgeous architecture. Lots to see for free. It’s an easily walkable area but the transit is amazing and so affordable! There are so many museums to choose from. I really enjoyed the Museum of Broken Relationships, it was funny and sad and made me cry a few times, but was really unique. We also enjoyed being in the Stone Tower when the canon was fired. The gunner? or artillery man was a real treat . We were amazed by the Mirogoj cemetery and the Botanical gardens were lovely. Our favourite meal was at Stari Fijaker 900. Great food, service and historical ambiance.
Excellent hostel near the train station and not too far from the bus station. Everything was clean and in good order. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. If you have an early train or arrive late this is the best place. The hostel is safe. It is an inexpensive hostel, not a hotel. There is no a/c, if that is a problem for you stay elsewhere. The website tells you there is no a/c. Everything is clean and basic. You need your own soap. If you expect soap in a hostel shower you should go to a hotel. The staff is very nice.
Excellent, well-maintained boutique hotel, 10 minute walk from the upper town and cathedral. Bathrooms were very new, with beautiful terrazzo bench tops and Rituals toiletries. Breakfast was in a very pleasant setting in a glass atrium in the middle of the courtyard - wide choice of buffet and a la carte items. There was also a little open-air terrace where you could relax after a day of sightseeing. Trams were close by, but without traffic noise. All the staff from the front desk, waiters to housekeeping were friendly and helpful.
This hotel has an excellent central city location. It is on a pedestrian only street so be prepared to carry your luggage for 1 or 2 blocks. You have easy walking access to all the downtown attractions. The staff were wonderful. They provided all sorts of useful information/maps and arranged for a taxi to the airport at the end of our stay. The room and bathroom were comfortable and well maintained. Our room had plenty of space and everything was in good condition.
Their breakfast was fantastic. It was a huge spread wit so much variety of options including Mediterranean specialties. The coffee was very good as well! We also had two dinners there and both meals were very good. This hotel is not downtown but we liked not being in the crowds. It’s an easy Uber to city center. It is very close to the airport which was important. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable: there was plenty of space and we were upgraded for free, the beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast is good value for money at 8€ and very complete. We also dined at the hotel and the food was ok. The hotel is 1 km away from the city center but there is a tram stop close by and you can buy your ticket inside the tram, which is very convenient.
Excellent city hotel. Good location.
The room and bathroom are large and comfortable. The staff was very kind in check-in and answered our questions.
The city center is about a 20-minute walk away.
If you wish, you can use tram number 13 to the center, the stop is in front of the hotel.
There is free parking.
Good value for money.
I recommend this hotel.
Mr. D, the host upon checkin was extremely friendly and welcoming. He was also super helpful in walking me through the parking instructions. The room was the perfect size for me staying by myself. It was modest but updated and lovely. This is just my kind of hotel, definitely a boutique gem right in the middle of Zageb's city center.
Staff very friendly. The front desk gave us great recommendations where to eat. Hotel close to city center (upper and lower town), but far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast was good and one of the workers offered to make us a delicious omelet.
Very Good Value for money! Good choice for a short stay in Zagreb. Location was Very Good, right on Tram 6 Stop. It was like Small Boutique Hotel w/o Reception. Just one Tram ride(Tram 6) from Main Bus Terminal. Clean and Spacious bedroom and bathroom
Great hotel in the city centre. Very close to the main square, tram stations and the main railway station. Good room size, nice spacious bathroom. Staff is more than amazing, friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with some traditional Croatian food.
Hotel location was good with quick walking access to the old city centre cathedral. An easy switch of two trams from the bus station. Twin room was cleaned and comfortable for two people. Breakfast was good and varied enough to kick-off your day.
Very easy to find - a max 5 min walk from the airport bus main stop.
The hotel is new, clean, and quiet.
The staff speak english and are very helpful.
Breakfast is good.
Very best option to stay by Canopy Hilton Zagreb City Centre
I do recommend !!!
Friendly hotel team, you feel they really care about you as you are important guest
I think that this is one of the best hotels in Zagreb, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and perfect location with parking. Great for visiting the city center.
The staff were so sweet and the hotel itself is super modern with very comfortable beds and a great shower. It is located just 10min walk from the city centre
