Staff was very friendly and helpful and the neighbourhood is very quiet and calm. Seems to be a popular spot for pensioners on their bus tours. The breakfast had a decent array of options so I'd say it's pretty good value to go with breakfast. Overall I had a comfortable stay and the hotel has the basics you need. There's a supermarket right nearby as well which is nice!

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savour panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city centre, and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, apartments, and guest houses throughout.

We took a walking tour in Old Town which was great!

We took a walking tour in Old Town which was great! We learned so much about the history of this beautiful town There are A LOT of stairs in Dubrovnik so be ready! If you enjoy nature, head to Lapad and walk the trail along the coast. It is spectacular and pretty easy in most spots. It is paved. A day trip to Cavtat was also one of our favorite parts of our trip. There’s a beautiful walking path around the town with gorgeous views. Eat lunch or dinner at Konoba Toranj. Without a doubt, it was the best food we ate in Croatia. Uber is a very cheap, efficient and safe way to get around the town

Dubrovnik coast was beautiful, unspoilt and refreshingly less commercial than other European destinations. In early May, there were enough people around to give it a buzz but it was not crowded. Dubrovnik old town was too busy on the day we visited (cruise ship passengers we suspect) and we did not enjoy the visit as much as we’d hoped.

The old town is beautiful and full of history.

The old town is beautiful and full of history. There are so many things to visit. It is worth taking the Dubrovnik pass for 7 days (55 euros) as it includes many things like the city walls (and it costs 35 euros with the pass!) and some museums and free public transport. We also took the opportunity to visit 2 other countries while being there, one day we went (with an organized tour) to Montenegro and another day to Bosnia-Herzegovina. There were both nice to visit.

Dubrovnik is super beautiful, the old town specially. Must visit the town walls, and highly recommend the dubrovnik pass in order to save few €! I also visited mnt Srd in the evening and can highly recommend to go there to see the sunset, its spectacular! If you are travelling in a group, might be a good idea to go there by taxi, the cable car is quite expensive (27€ round trip). In general prices are quite high; glass of wine 8€, meat and fish dishes up to 32€.

Too many tourists at the beginning of May, I don’t even want to know what it’s like during high peak! Everything is expensive and the souvenirs are lame and seem the same in every shop. Beaches are not good. The old town is beautiful but doesnt feel very authentic because of too much tourism. The food, ice cream etc was below expectation especially considering the price. The two places I can recommend though are Peppinos gelato garden and Incredible India. My best tip for Dubrovnik would be to go to Kotor (2 hours away) and spend your time there instead, much nicer and cheaper.

I have visited Dubrovnik a number of times. The old town is always a must visit. The cable car is always worth a go. There are plenty of excursions and boat trips to suit all taste andfamilies. Buses to all areas, plus local Uber drivers are good and friendly. Lots of restaurants, I. Would recommend Croatia as a whole., including ,Split and Zagreb. Also consider Krka waterfalls.

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea was fabulous, better than many 5 star hotels. Dinner was also superb - though the menu was limited and a little pricey. Highly recommend to eat here at least one evening if staying at the hotel. The bed was firm and super-comfortable. Great for a refreshing night's sleep. Location was what we wanted. Far enough from the old town to be away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to be able to walk (15+mins). Lots of buses and taxis if you didn't fancy the after dinner walk back.

There are also towers provided for go to beach. And some resturant we went around the area are much better than those in old town. If you travel in 2 ppl, just take a uber, the price are almost same comparing with airport shuttle + bus, and save a lot of times. The overal experience staying here is great. Highly recommand.

The view overlooking the sea is beautiful, especially at sunset. Most (if not all) of the rooms have a seaside view with a balcony. We were really lucky to receive a last minute upgrade when checking in and our room was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Such a lovely hotel to spend our last few days in Dubrovnik and there is also a bus that leaves directly outside the hotel that takes you into the Dubrovnik old town (this is free if you buy the Dubrovnik pass). .

Mali Stradun was a great accomodation for us (2 adults + 2 teenagers). Access to nearby hotel's pool was excellent, as well as the breakfast option. The environment was peaceful and we felt safe. The beach was close and it was great to go for a walk/jog in the mornings. It was very easy to get to the Old Town with the bus, although the buses were crowded. Our host Tomi was most helpful, meeting us when we arrived and arranging us the airport transportation. All in all, a lovely vacation in Dubrovnik!

We were in room 721. This room probably has the best view in the hotel. I booked it specifically for that reason. The view was worth the nearly $600 per night. Unobstructed view of old town with beautiful sunrise and sunset lighting. The location was perfect for short walk to the east end of old town. Buffet breakfast was sumptuous. Overall service was five star. As a world-class traveler, this is one of the favorite spaces we’ve ever occupied.

A great location by the beach. The nearest supermarket is a ten minute walk away along the sea front. Uber is incredibly efficient and cheap so you pop into the old town in Dubrovnik whenever you want (although the journey can take 20+ minutes if the traffic is bad). There's a lovely beach bar (Ponat) a one minute walk away and some fancier hotel beach clubs/bars/restaurants (Coral/Copacabana) another five or ten minutes walk after that.

The location is perfect, inside the walls but no need to walk many stairs to reach the house. So you get the best of both worlds here. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Even if we stayed only 2 nights there, the host kindly left us 2 sets of towels for each which came in handy. The host gave us a warm welcome at our arrival. Hotel Lero is very convenient to explore the Old Town in Dubrovnik, there's even a short ride on a local bus (#4) to it. The pool is wonderful and gets sun almost all day. My room was cleaned every day, and breakfast was good. The staff perhaps needs a bit more training there but the front desk people were very good and spoke very good English. Lovely apartment close to Dubrovnik Old town with the best view from the balcony. Lots of room and facilities. Host was very responsive. 15 minute walk up the hill from the old town and beach close by. Supermarket 3 minutes away.

Very affordable as compared to other hotels in Dubrovnik. Okay for the price . The view of the old town from the terrace was great!
