We really enjoyed our stay at Plato's. The staff were really friendly and professional, the room (no.8) was really cosy, clean and perfect for our stay. They made our puppy feel welcome too! Breakfast was lovely and again really friendly helpful staff at breakfast. Would stay again and highly recommend Plato's.

Good sized room , all the facilities worked and there was a decent shower.
Breakfast was good and cooked to order. Ate in the restaurant one night and the food was good with very generous portions. The staff were young and all very friendly and polite.

All the food we ate was excellent.
Our booking was for B&B. But we also had our evening meal there. It was delicious.
Breakfast was also very tasty. A good choice from both dinner and breakfast menus.
Nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff we encountered. From checking in, at meals and checking out we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our short stay. We will hopefully return soon.

A wonderfully quiet location but only a 5 minute walk from the village pub. Rose Cottage is a very traditional country accommodation with lovely proprietor and a wonderful full English breakfast. It was perfect for my one night stopover. I was even offered space in the garage to store my motorcycle overnight which was a lovely touch. The cottage sits well off the road and the private parking area is well away from prying eyes, so motorcyclists should be happy there.

Burton in Lonsdale is a lovely well kept village with a community run shop nice views of the countryside it also has a church park for the kids and a pub unfortunately the latter closed due to it being between owners but is due to re-open shortly according to the locals. There is plenty of pubs doing meals 10 to 15 minutes away so normally really a problem.
