The location is great. It is near the city- centre. The hotel is by the city habour. At first, the building seems very ood. It is an old building with a 50-60s architecture. But there is a nice restaurant on the ground floor, You can see by its decoration and design it serves classic food. Then you access the room with a code, you get into it and it is a nice room, very clean with some coffee amenities and a fridge. There is a bottle of water in the fridge. A nice touch! I did not try the breakfast because we had to leave very early. I will try at my next stay. The food at the restaurant seem very good, just by reading the menu.
Easily located. Staff have always been very friendly.
Easily located. Staff have always been very friendly. Very near to the motor way and Dunkirk to Dover ferries. Clean and well kept. Free parking. 3 electrical sockets in the room, TV and Wifi. The Wifi said connected but could not access. Said it needed a QR code. The desk is unmanned from 9pm to 6am and so couldn't ask.

Excellent for an overnight stop, straight off the ferry to get an early start for Germany the next day, always use this hotel, and will continue to do so. Warm welcome, room basic, clean, quiet and comfortable. Can't rate the surroundings as we always arrive aprox 9 o'clock, usually dark, and then we leave early, dark again. Close to motorway and easy to find.

Our 2nd time of staying here and it continues to meet all our needs and expectations. Very friendly staff, who speak multiple languages, so no communication problems.
It is ideally situated on the outskirts of Dunkirk and is easily reached by car. For those interested in WW2 history, there is a few places to go if you have time. The Eurotunnel is only 25 minutes away too.
The hotel is good value and is clean and tidy. It also has free Wifi. We will be staying here more frequently in the future and can highly recommend it.

I fairly frequently stopover at Grande Synthe on Saturday nights for Sundays in Antwerp. Handy for the shuttle and the ferries at Calais & Dunkirk.
Ibis Budget, Fasthotel, Dune, Premiere Classe etc. are within easy reach of the E40 Jn56. Good selection of reasonable restaurants just north of Jn54. (Buffalo Grill, Crocodile etc.) or BK & McD if time is tight.
This is the second time that we have stayed at the Fasthotel, Dunkerque; the room was clean and tidy with clean sheets and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and the parking was secure. We had dinner there as we did last time and enjoyed it. We did not go out in the evening as we had a long drive down; the breakfast was excellent, the staff were very friendly, we would definitely stay there again.
Located just off the motorway this hotel is ideal for a stopover; the receptionist speaks French and English and is very friendly and helpful. The room is reasonably sized with comfy beds, clean sheets and towels. It is very quiet and the buffet breakfast is help yourself which gets you off to a great start for the day. We also had an evening meal there which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely stay there again.
Easy and friendly check-in, comfortable bed, good shower, easy parking, adequate sized bedroom and bathroom for the price. Well located near to Autoroute and docks. The lovely little town of Bergues was only a short drive away. The choice of restuarants there made up for the fact that the area around the hotel did not have much to offer.
Very basic but very cheap and convenient stopover for the ferry (10 mins drive to DFDS ferry terminal), and easy to get to from the autoroute. Centre of Grande-Synthe is close by (2-3 mins drive / 10 mins on foot) where there are a few shops and a couple of boulangeries.
We travelled to London using a ferry. This hotel has a good location and a good value for money to stay just overnight to catch next day morning ferry without traffic jam and to be able to visit some memorials in Dunkerque in the evening.
the main gate was open all night. I know that there were police staying in the next door hotel but they were sleeping not keeping guard and anybody could have walked in and stolen a car or contents
Minimalistic Hotel for an overnight stay at good price. The Dunkirk - Ferry Terminal is less than 15 min away. Was perfect for taking the ferry early next morning.
The position of this hotel is helpful to our driving plan. Time of arrival is not problematic. car park allows for not needing to unhitch trailer and is secure.
The lady named Véronique i was comunicate with was very helpfull.Hotel is good and for good price. But needs bit more cleaning!
Otherwise good expiriance.
