The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the town square (Santander Parque) in Leticia, which was fine to walk in the daylight, but I wouldn't do it late at night. We did end up getting a bit turned around after dark and getting a tuktuk to return us to the hotel! The cabins were clean and spacious with cute decor and a fridge, and the staff was friendly. One of the hotel staff showed us monkeys eating papaya just outside the hotel one morning, which was great. There was always drinking water available and wifi in the lobby area. The breakfast was fine. The best part of the hotel was the beautiful outdoor pool, which was a fantastic way to cool down as we were not used to the heat in the Amazonas.

The location was great, and most of the staff were accommodating. Breakfast was filling, offering eggs, arepas, coffee or chocolate, and fresh juice. We were able to store our bags before and after check-out, which was very helpful.

Just a tip for any working travellers - both phone internet and most internet in most hotels does not work very well! Be warned, Leticia is very isolated and this does indeed support this. Best to plan to enjoy the town instead!

Leticia is a great spot to visit the Amazon forest and areas around the river. There are so many beautiful places around it and plenty of choice for all types of visitors. We didn’t realise it was going to be that hot when we went (August) and we’re not really used that humidity, so that ‘slowed’ us down a bit as we weren’t able to do as much as we originally thought we would. But overall it was a great experience, I would recommend it to anyone! (Just have a lot of mosquito repellent with you at all times)

Awesome! LETICIA is at the heart of the amazons!
Awesome! LETICIA is at the heart of the amazons! You can find several tours or reserves to stay in. The biodiversity and the indigenous ethnic diversity is interesting as well as eco educational. A lot to learn from them!!!!

For the gateway city to the Colombian Amazon, I didn't expect to fear for my life when crossing the roads! Leticia collects a tourist tax when you arrive at the airport, but they certainly don't spend any of that money on the roads, they are a disaster.
Compare in contrast to Puerto Nariño, a short boat ride up the Amazon. This town does not allow motorised vehicles and what a difference that makes. If I came back to this area I would stay in Puerto Nariño for sure

I would recommend Leticia as a travel hub/starting point.
I would recommend Leticia as a travel hub/starting point. Nothing special about the town itself apart from the location. Although I recommend the Ethnographic Museum there. But you will get a better view and jungle experience in Puerto Nariño, acessible by boat from Leticia. You can take the commercial boat, it will be a lot cheaper than private. It goes 3 times a day and takes 2h to get to Puerto Nariño. Be careful and research what tours cost, they will try to charge as much as possible 😅 Contact the reserves directly, not through an operator, you will most likely get the experience for half the price. Every indigenous guy there is a guide, pick wisely, a good option is through a reserve directly. Walks and attraction in the near reserves are rather touristy and can be underwhelming. For a deeper jungle experience arrange a multi day jungle walk.
A lot better place to view monkeys is Mocagúa monkey rescue center Fundacion Maikuchigua, they also have artesanal crafts for sale and a local ethnical museum. You can get there with the commercial boat.
Also instead of Flor de Loto, go to Reserva Victoria Regina, the lotuses are also there and you can get an amazing tree tour with info on how the indigenous use them and try some Tarzan moves.
If you want to touch a capybara, go to Isla San Antonio de Cacao on the Peru side, just across the river from Puerto Nariño and ask for that. A walking tour with animal viewing and transport was 180 000 pesos for 2 people roughly 3h.
The staff around Jonathan is just amazing, welcoming, super chill, they helped me with everything ( colombian Simcard, to find cheapJungle Tours and more )
Jonathan is a tartoo artist so you should definitly pass by of you want one.
Everything is selfmade, with love and original. You can learn alot about the Amazonas, the culture and the people living in this area.
+ The selfmade Cocktails at the bar with the local fruits are just amazing ❤️ thanks and keep the vibes 😊☀️
Amazing small hotel, stayed there two times in different rooms, all very clean, the owners are amazing people.
It's located in the center of Leticia, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops are close by, but still quiet.
They offer sunset tours to the Brazilian side including a Caipirinha, highly recommend that. They can also help to organize tours to the jungle and are very helpful with everything. Best place to stay in Leticia
The moment that me and my family stepped in was truly a bliss. Thank you to our lovely receptionist victory for helping us out in our first time in Colombia. Room was neat, AC optional, quiet, and no stress about anything that needs a second thought. Thank you so much, Victoria helped out so much! Thank you dueño I didn’t catch his name but he was truly humbled and calm man, my best!
The pool is really nice, with all the greenery surrounding it. Breakfast (not included in the price though) was good too.
There is wifi in the hotel - it's not great, but at least it exists. The whole town of Leticia really struggles with signal and wifi can rarely be found anywhere (we were there 7 days and 3 of that the whole town was completely without network).
The rooms are very comfortable, great beds and pillows, the pool is large and clean and lovely. Leticia is still evolving its tour infrastructure so tours are chaotic and unexpected but the Amazon is beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff, but knowing Spanish is a necessity in this location, if you only speak English things will be very difficult for you.
The hotel is very close to the park with the parakeets. Easy walk to restaurants. Staff was friendly. Rooms were small but clean. Very big plus was it had an A/C unit that was cold. Hammocks to hangout in. The place also had a pool. It was warm but still a plus. You have to remember where you are in terms of location. I would stay here again.
Great option if you want to be able to sleep properly! Rooms have good and reliable AC. Bathrooms are also clean and well maintained, and the owners will welcome you with a nice smile. Probably hard to beat in terms of cost vs. quality/comfort in Leticia. You also get towel, soap, water and ok Wifi. I would definitely come back!
La Ceiba Amazonas is a family run business in the Colombian Amazon village of Mocagua. It is a beautiful location and the rooms are clean, with gorgeous views, hammocks, and outdoor seating to watch the sunset. The guides and host, Clara, are all incredibly open with their knowledge and really make this place special.
Thank you so much Leonard! I honestly received best hospitality from him in my life. And I travel a lot . He was so kind and thoughtful and made my stay in Leticia amazing! The place is super clean and quiet! Has everything you need :)
Definitely will stay again when I make it to Amazon next time :)
I really liked the staff. I spent only one night in Leticia on my way to San Martin and the man in the reception informed me about a lot of free activities in Leticia
Moreover I really liked how they cared about ecoturism and informed me about their measures
Plus I loved their cat Marcel <3
Good location, nice swimming pool and big room but very overpriced for what it is and for Leticia. Any additional service is also billed 3 times more than it is in town, like the taxi from the airport for example, or keeping your luggage for a few days. Noce staff.
Gonzalo's family is really friendly. They helped us with everything we needed and although the hotel seems far form Leticia's center, it is extremely easy to move around the town (just 5000 COP / 5 minutes away). Nice breakfast also. Recommended!
Hotel is a bit outside Leticia, but a beautiful spacious location. Beautiful garden. Rooms were very spacious, with good aurco. Wifi was good in the central area. Restaurant and bar so everything at hand. Staff was very friendly.
My husband and I stayed at 3F for our first night in Leticia and Colombia and we loved everything. The kindness, the convenience, the (by colombian standards) big comfortable beds, location… I can highly recommend!
Perfect location, the breakfast was excellent and the staff really kind. The hotel has it’s own tour agency which is very convenient if you want to do excursions in the amazonas.
Great hotel, the staff was always available to help us. They also help us to arrange several tours during our stay. Transportation to city centre is manageable by tuk-tuk.
The staff were all friendly and very welcoming and they also had two sweet dogs too! The food was delicious and the hotel is within walking distance to food and shopping.
The accommodation looks very nice and is located in the center of Leticia from where you can easily walk to other places around. The breakfast offered a nice variety.
This is a great, well priced hotel about 10-15 mins walk from the main town. Clean facilites, friendly staff. Breakfast was a simple buffet but all tasted good
